Kelly Porter, LVN
STAT Home Health
| |
|
"I believe that Kelly Porter, LVN, exemplifies The Carpenter Health Network's mission statement with emphasis on 'joyfully providing optimal patient care.' In the last 10 years, Kelly has been a loyal employee of STAT Home Health utilizing her skills to provide the best care for our patients. When hearing from patients regarding Kelly, they are quick to say that she is very knowledgeable, compassionate and has a friendly demeanor at every visit. She is always attentive not only in her patient care but also in her documentation, which is thorough and completed timely. She is also an asset to our AIM program, where she gives the best of care and provides the necessary documentation to complete the transition from one level of care to the next. Kelly is the true definition of a team player in that she is always volunteering to pick up extra visits, even out of her area, and on weekends, when not on call, just to help her fellow co-workers. She makes herself available and is willing to train and mentor other clinicians as needed. She uses partnered programs effectively and encourages other clinicians to utilize them as well, to provide excellent quality of care for our patients. Kelly is a standout employee with all that she contributes to the field of home health and a huge asset to our team."

"There are three things that I know to be certain: the sun will rise in the east, set in the west, and Kara Blackmon will go above and beyond for our patients and staff. Kara’s servant leadership style has allowed her to make bonds with patients and coworkers creating an environment which is in line with The Carpenter Health Network’s values. She is always willing to jump in any role to ensure our patients get the care they need, and our employees have the support they deserve. She is a shining star with a bright future, and we are grateful to have her on our team!"

Barbara Burton, CNA
St. Joseph Hospice
| |
|
"Barbara has been here for 6 years. She has been a CNA for over 40 years. When asked why she does what she does, Barbara responds 'Because I LOVE It, my mom passed when I was 2 years old from cancer. I never really knew her, but when I care for these patients, I always think of my mom.' Barbara truly treats the patients like her own family. She doesn’t consider her job work; it is more of a calling for her. In her free time, Barbara loves to fish. She has her own fishing equipment, and no one is allowed to use it but her! She takes fishing almost as seriously as her patients."

Communications Department
“Elizabeth Brantley joined TCHN as Communications Director in Q4 of 2022. Shortly thereafter, Gavin Winkle was hired to supplement our efforts. Their knowledge and expertise in marketing and communications have transformed our capabilities as a department. Their sense of urgency, attention to detail and positive attitudes have been instrumental in creating first-class service that supports all divisions within our network. I have been particularly impressed with how quickly they “hit the ground running.” Both have been able to grasp our network’s needs and organize quickly. As a result, both our response time and quality of work from our communications team have dramatically improved. I constantly receive praise and accolades for both Elizabeth and Gavin from PCRs, executive directors, and our leadership team.” - John Clarkson
