Barbara Cox
Barbara Cox is an evangelist, poet, actress, gospel recording artist, and songwriter. She has recorded and released five gospel CDs. Cox is a radio personality on Kingdom 1 Radio and a former TV host as well as a former Special Education Teacher. She resides in the Tyler, Texas area and is a single mother of two beautiful children. Cox travels around the world ministering the word of God and singing songs in which she has written and produced.

In a recent interview Cox shared how she strived and struggled to become a successful songwriter and gospel recording artist.  Cox explained that God has blessed her with a gifted voice that she did not realize she had.

“I am blessed to say that I am now an author who has published 3 books. The name of my books are entitled, Sing, Gal, Sing,” said Cox.
In her first book she discusses her early childhood experiences which almost scorned her for life.

“When you let other people tell you what to do, it can hinder you from your dreams. When people read my book they will realize it is best to follow their heart and teach them how to overcome their fears,” said Cox.

As a child Cox was a member of the choir in her hometown Marshall TX.  She sang songs daily which led her father to inspire her to continue to sing by saying “Sing, Gal, Sing.”

Cox has written over 200 songs and continues to write songs often. One of the things that keep her faith alive is remembering the gifts that God has bestowed upon her.  Cox is currently producing a song called “Get Up” featuring her son.
