July is Disability Pride Month
Disability pride has been celebrated by some members of the disability community for more than 30 years, but many allies and people with disabilities don’t know about it. It began after the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed July 26, 1990, to prohibit discrimination against people with disabilities.

Fun New Collaborations
Sometimes it takes informing others in a fun way to spread awareness about developmental disabilities. Through these creative collaborations we can create a better, more inclusive future for all!

Reebok and Zappos are collaborating to create new footwear geared to individuals with disabilities! This line of adaptive footwork includes features like zippers, extra wide options, heel pull tabs and low cut designs.

Have you seen the latest Barbie?
Mattel recently released last month a new series of dolls, which includes the first Barbie with behind-the-ear hearing aids, a Barbie with a prosthetic leg, as well as a Ken doll with vitiligo I — a skin condition defined by the loss of pigment cells.
