Safe Send Organizer Updates

Safe Send has made some updates to their platform that are important to share.

  1. If you HAVE created a portal, when you open an email from us to get to documents or the organizer, it will take you to the portal log-in and ask you for the 6 digit code you created. You will always use that same code so be sure to note it somewhere you can reference back to at a later date. If you have forgotten your pin, you can reset it.

  2. If you HAVE NOT created a portal, you will be directed to the documents or organizer and asked to request a code (click the green button!) that will be sent to your email.

  3. If you want to have a portal, you must request to be added. We will then send you an email invitation that will walk you through the sign up process. Please email your request to kim@jellisoncpa.com and those invitation will be sent out as time permits. Likely those will go out towards the end of tax season.

These updates may cause some confusion, so please feel free to email Kim, or call the office for assistance.

Tax Season at Jellison CPA

Our firm is currently operating with a smaller team than usual. While this has not changed our commitment to accuracy or quality, it does mean that turnaround times may be a bit longer as we work diligently through tax returns and client requests. In addition, there are many new rules and changes that we are working through in the tax returns.

At this time, we do not have the space available for clients to review documents in our office, nor are we able to schedule in-office meetings to walk through tax returns line by line. Our team is focused on preparing returns accurately and efficiently for all clients, and extended in-person reviews would significantly impact our ability to meet deadlines. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this busy time and are grateful for the opportunity to continue working with you.

That said, please know that we are doing everything we can to stay on track and provide the level of service you expect from us. Every return is carefully prepared and reviewed by our staff. If you have specific questions about your tax return, we are always happy to address them by email or phone. Targeted questions allow us to provide clear, helpful answers while keeping work moving for everyone. If you have time-sensitive concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out so we can address them as efficiently as possible.

Questions regarding how and what changes to make for 2026 cannot be answered until the 2025 tax return is completed. Your questions will be noted and addressed after tax season when we can give our full attention to those issues.

Please do drop in for a cookie or to drop off your organizer and documents. We are happy to say a quick hello! We truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation. These processes help us serve all of our clients more effectively during the busiest time of the year.

IRS Policy Change Reminder

Just a reminder that the IRS is phasing out the issuing and receiving of paper checks. Please provide your banking information in the Direct Deposit section of the organizer. Also be sure to go to the IRS website and create an account if you haven't already done so. This will provide you access to your tax information (see balances and payments, access transcripts and records, download tax documents, and check on refunds), offers secure payments directly from your bank account or credit card, and offers access to other government services.
