Dear friends,

As your Representative for Florida House District 117, I am proud to share the work and service done for you this week!

It was my distinct honor to meet up with my good friend, Julio Guzman, Vice Mayor of the City of Homestead, and his lovely wife, Emily. We were able to discuss the priorities of the City of Homestead and other ways in which we could work together to better serve the community.

During my meeting with The Florida Realtors Association, we discussed issues like rising property insurance, rising rental rates, housing discrimination, and the availability of Affordable Housing. I look forward to working with this organization to discuss potential solutions to these and other housing related issues.

As a member of the Legislative Black Caucus, it was a pleasure to present scholarships to my intern Rodney Wells, as well as Ms. Jayden King, who lives in District 117. Both are FAMU students who have a very bright future ahead of themselves.

Representative Toby Overdorf is a staunch advocate in the fight against Human Trafficking. That is why it was my pleasure to join him at the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking Reception. I will do everything I can to support them in their efforts.
