Quote of the week...

One person in pursuit of excellence raises the standards of everyone around them. And as they strive for greatness they bring out the greatness in others.

Be that one person today.

SCHSL Captains Council - The South Carolina High School League hosts Virtual Fall Sports Captains Workshop's three time a year. I encourage all of our athletes to watch the following videos:

NFHS Courses for students - The NFHS has released three courses and two in particular are for our student leaders. Dan Schuster, NFHS director of educational services stated, “We believe these courses will bring value to those who take them and will contribute to improving the interscholastic experience for young people.” The courses are called “Becoming a Leader” and “Leading Others”. Each course uses real student testimonies and focuses on building stronger student leaders.

Health Summit

The SCHSL presented a Health Summit on October 26. The Summit is geared to help our student-athletes with their mental wellness and healthy habits.

The speakers gave student-athletes tools and strategies that they can use, to balance their life and schedules, maintain their emotions during times of high stress, and how to ask for support when they are struggling to stay balanced. The objective is to help students with time. Please click the here to watch the video.

Do you want to play sports at the next level

It is never to early to start preparing to play at the next level. In addition to having the athletic ability, you also need to be prepared academically. Click here to learn what steps you should be taking.

Athletic Stickers

Looking for a way to show off your school pride? We have stickers available for purchase on the school store for $5.00.

Athletic Fees

Athletic fees can be paid in the school store. These must be paid before your student competes in an athletic competition. Fees are used to help offset all costs associated with running an athletic program (League dues, uniforms, official costs, transportation, rental fees, etc.). Please reach out to Mr. Ball if you have any questions or need assistance.

Box Out Bad Behavior

The South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) has teamed up with the National

Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) for the Bench Bad Behavior

Initiative. The purpose of the initiative is to put a spotlight on promoting positive behavior

in coaches, student-athletes, and fans to aid in the retention of our high school sports

officials so that our student-athletes can play and participate in the sports they love.
