Greetings Barton Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year! On Monday, August 30th at 8:45am, Barton Elementary School will open its doors to nearly 300 students. For our teachers and staff, this is a day that we have been anticipating for over a year and preparing for all summer. We are excited to welcome our students back for in-person teaching and learning, five days a week.
Morning Entry
- Entry begins at 8:45 am. Students will not be allowed to enter the building before 8:45am, unless they are part of the Cluster program and/or ride the school bus.
- Bus and Cluster students will enter through the main entrance of the main building upon arrival.
- Pre-K - 2nd Grade students will enter the building through Door 5 (off the playground).
- 3rd - 6th Grade students will enter the building through Door 4 (off of the parking lot on Winchester).
- 7th and 8th grade students will enter the building through Door 8 (on Wolcott near the gym).
Upon entering the building, supervisors will ensure that each student is wearing a face mask that fits properly and covers the nose and mouth. In the event that a student does not have a mask, one will be distributed to him/her. All students will sanitize their hands, grab their breakfasts, and be escorted to their classrooms by their homeroom teacher.

Students will be dismissed through the same doors they use for morning entry. To allow for social distancing (to the best extent possible), we will facilitate a staggered dismissal.
