With the Canadian Golf Course Management Conference complete, the final push to the start of the golf season in Alberta has begun. Days are noticeably longer and with Daylight Savings Time going into effect on March 9th, it will seem as though days last forever compared to a couple months ago.

The Canadian Golf Course Management Conference was held the last week of February in Niagara Falls and it was a tremendous show. The Fallsview Casino and Conference Center along with the Hilton Fallsview were a fantastic host venue resulting in delegate attendance being very strong. Some amazing Alberta individuals were honoured with awards at this year’s conference.  Reid Solodan, AGS and Robin Sadler, MS...

After a cold stretch and a few ice events, winter is starting to break up in most of Atlantic Canada. Some clubs are removing snow to expose ice, but some are letting nature take its course.

Conference season is over and as always it seems like travel was a challenge for many. The Canadian in Niagara was a huge success with great attendance. Having never been to Niagara myself, it was a great venue. Thank you to the suppliers for their great support at the trade show and to the delegates for the always packed rooms for the speaker line up. Our local Atlantic Turfgrass Conference was also a huge success and just keeps growing.

From initial feedback the Canadian Golf Course Management Conference and Trade Show in partnership with OGSA was a great success. Record breaking attendance since pre-covid with an outstanding education program, networking and trade show, provided all attendees with an event that won't soon be forgotten. CGSA and OGSA would like to thank those who attended, presented, exhibited and sponsored the conference and trade show. Please take the short delegate and supplier surveys sent last week.
