Goats in the Herd!

Last year, we welcomed four delightful goats—Cinnamon, Buddy, Romeo, and Juliet—to our herd after a local preschool closed its doors and these cuties needed a new home. We hoped they’d help with weeding, but it turns out they’re not fans of mustard plants. Go figure!



While their taste in plants is a little picky, they’ve settled in beautifully as beloved members of our ranch family. They’re also wonderful companions to our two mini horses—offering extra comfort and company, especially if one ever finds themselves without their longtime buddy.

These four are easy keepers—happy with alfalfa pellets, a mineral supplement, and fresh Tuff hay stored in our volunteer-built hay barn made from reclaimed pallets. They love to play, adore kids, and each has their favorite place to be scratched.

A question we get all the time:

“Are Romeo and Juliet pregnant?”



Nope! Their round bellies just look like they’ve swallowed basketballs. They're perfectly healthy and full of personality.
