The Power of 18 closed on October 18th. Thanks to all your hard work, we raised almost $10,000 for chromosome 18 research! Congratulations to our winners of the regional competition, Team Canada, who together raised over $2100! Congratulations to 2nd place winner Camino Crew with almost $1600, and 3rd place winner Bubba's Page with almost $700!

18th Annual Golf Tournament & Starfish Soirée!
|
|
The 18th Annual Chromosome 18 Golf Tournament was a huge success!
We received so many amazing donations for the wine pull and silent and live auctions for the Starfish Soireé at Oak Hills Country Club in San Antonio on October 6th. Thank you to everyone who donated to the silent and live auctions. We raised $3,500 in the Live Auction and $4,140 in the Silent Auction!
The Golf Tournament took place on October 7th, 2022 at the Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio, TX. The Tournament saw 100 golfers and many more family members, spouses, community members, and supporters of the Registry come out to join in the fun! Thanks to all the amazing volunteers, sponsors, donors, and golfers, we raised over $70,000 for Chromosome 18 Research!

San Antonio Area Families: Emergency Need Fund
|
|
|
Chromosome 18 has received a special grant from the Najim Charitable Foundation to assist low-income families acquire medical necessary items for their chromosome 18 affected child.
This fund is the first time ever we've been able to offer a program like this. Funding will cover the cost of medical items (up to $2,000 per family) for chromosome 18 families in the San Antonio area.

October Monthly Highlight

This month, Chromosome 18 families in Ft. Worth, TX hosted a Starfish Scramble event at Topgolf! The Scramble had 34 participants and raised almost $5000! Special thanks to our wonderful organizers Jodi Hight and Annemarie Weatherhead and their families for hosting. Also a special thank you to our former Program Services Manager Holly Hood for driving from San Antonio to volunteer at the event.
