Take a Look Back

On January 1, 1917, it had been decided that trains would no longer pass each other in Hartfield but in Mayville. When the call came into the Mayville Junction, the operator was dealing with several other things at the time. This resulted in him not letting the southbound car to stop causing it to collide with another oncoming vessel by 6-8 feet. Two motormen were crushed by the trains and one passenger later died from their injuries.

Consumption Fun Facts

Water:

You can save more than 200 gallons of water a year just by turning off the tap when brushing your teeth.

Electric:

We’ve all opened the fridge too many times trying to decide what we want to eat, but did you know that you could be wasting up to 120 kilowatts a year doing this?
