Dear ALA Johnston Families,
Welcome!! We can’t wait for the 22-23 school year to begin and are excited to get to know each of you over the coming months.
We understand that for many families, joining the ALA Johnston family is a leap of faith. We are truly thankful for your trust and confidence. Please know we are fully committed to providing your children with the best educational experience in a moral and wholesome environment.
At ALA Johnston, we (staff, students, and parents) live and breathe the RAISE values, please see below. Every decision we make and action we take is grounded in these core values. Staff members are held to a high professional standard, and students at all grade levels are expected to conduct themselves with courtesy and decorum at all times.
We are eager to get all of our new families on-boarded to the “ALA Johnston Way”, right away. In all the excitement of preparing for the opening of our new school, we know you may still have many questions. We appreciate your patience as we work diligently to make sure every one of your questions are answered so you can feel confident in your decision to enroll your children at Johnston.
A FAQ sheet will be available shortly on the website for answers to questions related to class size, curriculum, homework expectations, electives, transportation, athletics and fine arts offerings, discipline, and more.
We spoke with the construction company who is building the school and they are right on schedule with the build. They have the footing poured, the pads built up, and they are ready to start pouring the walls to be raised. The building and school is going as planned.
Uniforms, helmets, and pads have been ordered for the football team and volleyball equipment is being ordered this week.
As we get closer to the school start, more school socials and events are in the works. We will let you know as we get closer to these events. We are having a job fair on February 24 to start the hiring process. Information about the job fair is on our website and FB page. As more information is presented to and approved by the Governing Board, we will get that information posted as well. American Leadership Academy is grateful to have such an amazing board that has the best interest of families and students.
Information related to the 7-12 course catalog and electives selection, school supply lists, driveline procedures, school lunch menus, and high school dual enrollment procedure is forthcoming and will be communicated to families via email/newsletter and the school’s website.
JUNIOR HIGH & HIGH SCHOOL FAMILIES: Please help us get a head start on planning schedules by uploading a copy of your child’s transcripts OR their most recent Report Card to their enrollment application within the Parent Portal.
