| | A Message from the ASADSV Training Team
| Talofa lava and warm greetings to our advocates, partners, and community members!
| Welcome to the very 1st issue of ‘Feso'ota'i’, the ASADSV quarterly training newsletter. We are honored to introduce this new space created to strengthen communication, connection, shared learning, and collective growth among advocates and those serving alongside our communities.
| The name Feso'ota'i speaks to connection; connecting people, knowledge, resources, and communities together. In many of our Pacific cultures, connection and relationships are at the center of how we serve, support, and care for one another. That spirit is the foundation of this newsletter and the work we continue to do together. Through Feso'ota'i, we hope to create a meaningful space where advocates can stay informed about upcoming trainings, events, webinars, resources, podcasts, and opportunities for learning and engagement. This newsletter will also highlight moments from community outreach, advocate engagement, and collaborative efforts happening throughout the quarter as we continue strengthening survivor-centered advocacy across our communities.
| As we launch this 1st volume, we do so with gratitude, humility, and excitement for what is ahead. We recognize the dedication, compassion, and resilience advocates bring into this work every day, and we hope this newsletter serves as a source of encouragement, knowledge, and connection for all who receive it. Faafetai tele lava for all that you do in service to our families and communities. We look forward to growing Feso'ota'i together and sharing our next issue with you in September 2026.

The outreach engaged approximately 60–70 seniors through discussions on Elder Abuse Awareness, including recognizing signs of abuse, understanding elder rights, and accessing support services. A key message emphasized throughout the session was that prevention begins in the aiga, encouraging families and communities to work together in protecting and caring for our elders.
