A Season of Gratitude: Reflections from the CEO's Office

In the midst of this season of gratitude, I want to pause and say — truly — thank you.

Your response to our emergency appeal earlier this fall was extraordinary. Because of your generosity, we’ve been able to keep our core programs strong: providing affordable legal services to immigrants, daily meals and clean clothing for women experiencing homelessness and continued case management and stability support for refugee families building new lives in Oregon.

Voices of Hope

We're thrilled to introduce you to Allison Pantano-Rumsey, program coordinator at Kenton Women's Village. She comes to Catholic Charities after nearly 20 years in the medical field and with a strong desire to make a difference through social work.

The impact of our Immigration Legal Services team is amplified by volunteers who step forward with generosity and decades of hard-earned experience. We invite you to meet two retired attorneys whose quiet leadership and service are helping us keep pace with rising community needs.

Our Holiday Toy & Joy Shop is one of the most heartwarming days of the year, and we need your help to make it happen! Please consider donating toys or volunteering your time to support families during the holidays.

Our annual Celebration of Hope returns on Feb. 20, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency in NE Portland, and we can’t wait to gather with you! This signature evening lifts up the work of Catholic Charities grounded in Catholic social teaching and celebrates the incredible community that makes it possible. Tables, individual seats, and sponsorship opportunities are now available.
