Pottsboro Area Chamber of Commerce Newsletter April 2026

Dear Pottsboro Chamber Members,

Spring is officially here, and with it comes a renewed sense of energy and excitement throughout our community. As the days grow longer and the weather warms up, Pottsboro truly comes alive, and April is shaping up to be a wonderful month for residents and visitors alike.

One event we’re especially excited about is our upcoming Community Garage Sale. This is always a favorite for so many in our area and a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, find hidden treasures, and support our local community.

Whether you’re hosting a sale, shopping for a great deal, or simply enjoying the buzz around town, we hope you’ll take part and help make this event another great success.

With warmer temperatures also comes the perfect time to get outside and enjoy all that Pottsboro has to offer. From our beautiful lake views and outdoor recreation to local parks, trails, and community gatherings, there’s no shortage of ways to soak up the season. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these opportunities and support local businesses, attend community events, and enjoy time outdoors with family and friends.

As always, the Chamber of Commerce is grateful for our members, volunteers, and partners who continue to make Pottsboro such a special place. Your involvement and support help strengthen our local economy and foster the welcoming spirit our town is known for.

We look forward to a busy and exciting spring and hope to see you out and about enjoying everything this season has to offer.

Warm regards,

Traci Cherry

Chamber President, 2026

America 250 Bench Dedication – Pottsboro

Join us as we celebrate a very special addition to our community!

The Preston Trail Chapter NSDAR has generously donated an America 250 commemorative bench to the City of Pottsboro, which will be placed at James G. Thompson Park. We are incredibly thankful for this wonderful gift that will be enjoyed by our community for years to come.

The bench is being designed and created by the Sherman High School FFA Ag Mechanics Team, who will be learning valuable life skills as they use a CNC machine to create and cut the design for the bench.

The Daughters of the American Revolution focus on three mission areas: Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism, and their chapter continues a long legacy of supporting veterans, educators, and preserving historic places important to our communities.

If you would like to learn more about the organization, please visit:

We are honored that the Preston Trail Chapter chose Pottsboro for this special project.

Become a Mix & Mingle Sponsor!

We’re looking for sponsors for our Monthly Mix & Mingle events, and we need your support! Last year, we introduced an exciting new opportunity for Chamber members to get involved with a $100 sponsorship, and now, we’re inviting you to join in!

Here’s how it works:

✨ Each month, a business hosts the Mix & Mingle, and a different Chamber member sponsors the event with $100.

✨ All sponsor funds go into a jackpot. At the mixer, we spin a wheel, and if the wheel lands on a member in attendance, they win the pot!

✨ If the selected member isn’t present, the pot rolls over, growing each month until a winner is drawn.

Why Sponsor?

  • Get social media shoutouts and recognition on Chamber platforms.
  • Be acknowledged during the event for your contribution.
  • Support your local business community in a fun and interactive way.

Your sponsorship helps keep the Mix & Mingle events lively and engaging while spotlighting your business. If you’re interested in being a $100 sponsor for an upcoming month, please call the office at 903-786-6371or email us at executivedirector@pottsborochamber.com

Let’s make this year’s mixers bigger and better together! 🎉

Mark your calendars now!!

Need a good reason to declutter for spring? Get ready for Pottsboro's Citywide Garage Sale!! April 10th & 11th throughout Pottsboro! Shop till you drop!

We’re excited to announce that the Pottsboro City-Wide Garage Sale will take place on April 10 & 11!

For the past few years, we have charged $10 to have your address included on the official garage sale map. This year, we’re doing things a little differently! We are launching a new website pottsborogaragesales.com where anyone interested in participating during Garage Sale Weekend can submit their address for free to be included.

We will still provide both online map and printed physical maps so shoppers can easily find all participating locations.

We’re looking forward to another great weekend of community fun and treasure hunting!
