Sara Lee Frozen Bakery Job Fair
Looking for a career in the food industry?

Sara Lee is having a job fair on Saturday, December 7th from 9am-1pm at Edgecombe Community College Fleming Center (Cummins Conference Room).

Sara Lee is looking for individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit, believe there's always a better way, are excited about the challenge of a blank page daring you to write on it, and will bring the best of their unique points of difference to make our team stronger.

2019 Nashville Chamber of Commerce Christmas Social
The Nashville Chamber of Commerce is having a Christmas Social on Thursday, December 12th at The Nashville Exchange starting at 5pm. As part of their annual fundraiser, they will have raffle tickets available for purchase and a silent auction.

Please bring a new, unwrapped child's toy for local charities or they will accept cash donations for the Nashville Police Department's Shop with a Cop.

Alimentaire Wholesome Breads
Located in downtown Tarboro, NC, Alimentaire Wholesome Breads strives to be the best place around to find tasty, wholesome breads, pastries and other baked goods for both your pleasure as well as sustenance.

They're now taking orders for Thanksgiving! Pickup will be at the bakery in Tarboro on Monday (11/25) or Wednesday (11/27), between 12 and 5 p.m. The last day to order for the Thanksgiving holiday will be Saturday 11/23.

CSX Carolina Connector

We are excited that the construction of the CSX Carolina Connector (CCX) is well underway here in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.The Carolina Connector terminal will feature three wide-span, zero
emission electric cranes with an annual lift capacity of 100,000 containers.

We are excited that their new warehouse in Edgecombe County is expected to be operational in the first half of 2020. The current state of the construction of their warehouse is shown in the picture.

Tarboro Commerce Center Shell Building
We are thrilled at the volume of companies interested in the Tarboro Commerce Shell Building being built in the Tarboro Commerce Center.

The Tarboro Commerce Shell Building is located along HWY 64 (future I-87) at the Tarboro Commerce Center, which also houses Keihin and Piedmont Natural Gas. It is also in close proximity to Edgecombe Community College which can provide your company a Customized Training Program to meet your workforce needs.

Workforce Development
RAMP EAST - Regional Advanced Manufacturing Pipeline for Eastern NC
RAMP East, Regional Advanced Manufacturing Pipeline for Eastern NC, is a regional workforce development partnership designed to connect job seekers to the necessary training and resources to be ready for the current jobs available in the region and the new jobs that will coming in the next 18 to 24 months.

This regional partnership is made up of economic development organizations, workforce development boards, community colleges, state and local government agencies, and community-based organizations. Stay tuned for more information!
