Join us for the annual Egg-Stravaganza Easter egg hunt! Beginning on March 31st through April 2nd, eggs will be hidden twice daily around the Township. Be sure to keep an eye out for the giant golden egg to win the grand prize!

The next LMT Dog Park orientation for new members will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 7 pm at the Community Center - 1550 Oxford Valley Road. This orientation is mandatory for all new members.

With Spring upon us, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is looking to identify maintenance needs on all state roads in the community. You can share and report road concerns and deteriorations in two ways:

You can also use Senator Santarsiero's Pothole Reporter, which compiles all submission data and identifies broader requests to aid in preparation for the 2026 PennDOT Road Tour.

PECO Work to Begin in April

Residents may notice construction activity in their neighborhood beginning this Spring as PECO takes steps to enhance the local electric distribution system. This project is part of a continued investment in the community to strengthen the electrical system so it can better withstand more frequent and damaging storms, improve reliability by reducing the frequency of outages that cannot be prevented, and support the adoption of cleaner energy resources such as solar and electric vehicles.

What residents can expect:



• Any impacted portions of yards or streets will be restored to their prior condition. New equipment, including pad-mounted transformers could be installed or replaced as necessary.

• These devices are necessary to improve reliability throughout neighborhoods and require several feet of clearance to allow for future maintenance.

• Work occurring along Lexington Dr, Knox Dr, Edgewood Rd, Schuyler Dr, Salem Ct and Whitehall Dr is scheduled to begin 3/30/2026 with an estimated completion date of 7/20/2026

• Work occurring along Margery Rd, Michael Rd, Richard Rd, Saly Rd and Nancy Rd is scheduled to begin 4/6/2026 with an estimated completion date of 7/10/2026.

• Work will be performed by PECO crews and qualified PECO contractors.

Crews may need to temporarily interrupt service to safely complete some of this work. Residents will be informed in advance of planned activities and interruptions.

Lower Makefield Township's Bird Town PA is proud to report the achievement of a Gold Level Certification, the highest possible level, in 2025. In order to achieve this prestigious award, member and volunteer hours must be spent on various categories such as Municipal, School, Community and more. In 2025, 57 volunteers spent over 755 hours working on projects in all of those categories.

Bird Town PA LMT Chair Jeanne Bray would like to thank Heidi Shiver, Bird Town PA President, the Bird Town PA group for their help, and to the Township staff for their support. Thanks also go to Lower Makefield Township's EAC and Yardley Borough's EAC, with whom we have collaborated. Lastly, kudos to the many volunteers whose commitment made the attainment of Gold Certification possible.

Currently, many bird-oriented programs are in the works, and we look forward to sharing them with our many bird-loving residents. See you in 2026!

Makefield Highlands

The McCartney Foundation, a Doylestown-based 501(c)(3) non-profit serving the deaf and hard-of-hearing, is hosting a charity golf outing at Makefield Highlands on Monday, May 4th. Read below for more information and how to register!

Job Duties:

• Mowing & trimming
• General maintenance & cleanup
• Other tasks as needed

Job Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Valid PA Driver's License
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
• Ability to lift over 40 lbs
• Reliable & hardworking

The Lower Makefield Township Pickleball Club is hosting Pickle Palooza on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9 am - 12 pm at Memorial Park (Garden of Reflection - 1950 Woodside Road) courts. All levels and ages are welcome for an epic day of pickleball action.
