Imagine the Future of Downtown Lemon Grove
| | |
What do you want Downtown Lemon Grove to look like in the years ahead? More local restaurants and cafés? Inviting public gathering spaces? More walkable streets? Additional housing choices? Now is your chance to help shape that vision.
The City of Lemon Grove is updating its Downtown Specific Plan, a long-range roadmap that will guide future improvements and development in downtown over the next 15 to 20 years. The plan will help create a downtown that is vibrant, welcoming, and connected while supporting local businesses, enhancing public spaces, improving mobility, and planning responsibly for future growth.
The Specific Plan establishes a community-driven vision to ensure future investment reflects the priorities and values of Lemon Grove residents.
Your voice matters! We encourage residents, business owners, and community members to learn more about the project and complete the community survey. Your feedback will help shape the future of Downtown Lemon Grove for generations to come.

| | | Don’t Let Illegal Fireworks Ruin Your Holiday | | |
Fireworks are illegal to possess, sell, store, or discharge within the City of Lemon Grove. This prohibition helps reduce fire hazards and prevent personal injuries. Help keep our community safe this Independence Day.
| | Protect Your Belongings from Car Theft | | | | |
Vehicle break-ins can happen anywhere, often in just a matter of seconds. The best way to protect your valuables is to never leave them visible inside your car. Items such as wallets, purses, laptops, phones, shopping bags, and even loose change can attract thieves.
Remember: thieves often target vehicles that appear to contain valuable items. By keeping your belongings out of sight and securing your vehicle, you can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim of car theft.
Stay alert, stay safe, and help keep our community secure.

|
It's important to remember that fireworks and large gatherings can be stressful and even dangerous for pets. Loud noises may frighten animals and cause them to run away, making the Fourth of July one of the busiest times of the year for lost pets.
To help keep your pets safe:
- Keep pets indoors during fireworks displays, preferably in a quiet, secure room with familiar bedding and toys.
- Make sure your pet is wearing a collar with current identification tags and that their microchip information is up to date.
- Keep doors, gates, and windows securely closed to prevent frightened pets from escaping.
- Avoid bringing pets to fireworks events, where loud sounds and crowds can cause unnecessary stress.
- Provide fresh water and a calm environment to help your pet feel safe throughout the evening.
If your pet goes missing, contact your local animal shelter and animal control agency as soon as possible.
By taking a few simple precautions, you can help ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for every member of your family—including your pets. Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!
