Caleb, from our Hearth Department recently had the Hearthstone Green Mountain 20 installed in his home.
This spring I was looking at televisions in Costco and I saw a 75" for around 500 or 600 dollars! I shared my great discovery with my wife and she was not very impressed. She reminded me that after last winter, the main priority was to get a wood stove in our home and that until that happened there would be no discussion of getting a larger TV!
As a salesperson in a store that carries wood heating appliances, I have many times been asked about what each different stove can do. I have only had experience on the several stoves that have been in our burn displays (Blaze King Princess 32, Hearthstone Green Mountain 80, Hearthstone Manchester, and RSF Opel) over the past couple years as well as my fireplace at home. I have been excited to gain some personal experience on the Green Mountain 20 and it fit the space in our home that needed some supplemental heat, so that is what was installed in our home last month.
While I have only done a couple break in fires, I am happy with the deep fire box which allows me to use the same wood supply that I had already had for my fireplace (which handles 16-17 inch logs).
My family and I are looking forward to having an efficient and modern looking wood appliance in our living room to add to the practical warmth and the ambiance of the glow of a fire.
