Message from the President 
Hello ABRFers, 
It was fantastic to get together with, and see everyone (if only virtually), at the ABRF 2021 meeting. The dedication and flexibility of those who programed, planned, and presented despite the unusual circumstances and challenges cannot be understated, and exemplifies the resilience of our society’s members. Thanks to all who contributed to, and attended, the meeting as it led to a valuable meeting experience. I look forward to getting together with everyone again (hopefully face-to- face!) at the ABRF 2022 annual meeting on March 27-30 in Palm Springs. Please note, planning for next year’s meeting has begun and the Program Committee is hosting the ABRF Town Hall scheduled for tomorrow at noon (ET) to discuss next year’s event. Everyone is welcome to attend. Stay safe!

  • Core Administration Town Hall – 1:00 pm ET, Thursday, May 20th   – Optimal Design of Cores from the Ground Up.  Join your colleagues for this informative panel discussion featuring leaders from MD Anderson Cancer Center, Moffitt Cancer Center, University of Colorado, Boulder, and the Baylor College of Medicine. Highlights from the Journal of Biomolecular Techniques – ABRF’s peer-reviewed journal 
New FASEB report on Maximizing Shared Research Resources 
This third volume on the importance of shared resources, developed by a task force led by ABRF’s own Sheenah Mische and Nick Ambulos, will inform upcoming policy discussions with leading scientific societies and government officials form NSF, NIH, and other key agencies. 
ABRF Chapters
MAD SSCi.  The June 8 concurrent sessions for the MAD SSCi 2021 Annual Meeting in Twelve Parts will address Targeted methyl-seq applications using the Fluidigm D3 System and Quality Control.  Register here for these complimentary programs. 
 
SEASR. The Eighth Annual SEASR Meeting (https://seasr.abrf.org) will be held virtually June 10-11, 2021 in response to restrictions on travel and gathering during the COVID-19 pandemic. Registration is now open and is free to academic attendees due to the generous support of sponsors. Research Groups - Submit Your Proposals by
August 1st
ABRF Research Groups are invited to submit a proposal for funding of new or continuing studies to the ABRF Executive Board by August 1, 2021.
