The Missouri State Highway Patrol has completed its annual school bus inspection program, examining more than 11,000 buses statewide in preparation for the upcoming school year. The patrol reported than 10,239 buses passed their initial inspection. The patrol also recognized 287 Missouri school districts with its 2026 Total Fleet Excellence Award.

The Missouri Department of Conservation is asking residents to help monitor the state's wild turkey population by participating in its annual Wild Turkey Brood Survey this summer. The survey conducted each year since 1959, collects reports of wild turkey sightings during June July and August to measure the success of the year's hatch. Anyone can submit turkey sightings during the survey period.

Mosaic Life Care has announced the addition of three new pharmacies, including a specialty pharmacy and two same-day and retail pharmacy locations, aimed at improving patient access to medications and care. Rob Ritchey, president of pharmacy services at Mosaic Life Care, said expanding local pharmacy access is a key priority for the health system. The new pharmacies are designed to reduce wait times, support patients managing both short- and long-term health needs, and improve coordination between patients and their healthcare providers.

While thousands of Missouri fans travel to Columbia each year to support University of Missouri athletics, Mizzou officials are spending part of the summer returning the favor. Fans gathered in Maryville on the third day of the annual "Zou to You" tour to hear updates on the future of Tiger athletics and discuss issues affecting college sports. Mizzou Athletic Director Laird Veatch said face-to-face conversations help fans better understanding the rapidly changing landscape of college sports.
