Trunk or Treat on Halloween
Halloween will be so much fun for our students this year as we host Trunk-or-Treat for the first time at St. Ignatius! Trunk -or-Treat is a fun, safe way to experience Trick-or-treating. Parked cars decorate their trunks with a theme and give out goodies to those who stop by. Many trunks include an interactive experience for the children. Since Halloween will be a 12:30 dismissal day this year, this activity will be perfect for the shorter day. Room parents will be providing the 'trunks'. but we have some spaces is available for other parent volunteers who would like to participate with their cars. Please return the Trunk or Treat Car Registration form that went home last week ASAP. Spaces will be given out first come first served.
How can you help? Please consider donating a bag of candy or small non-food items so that each car has plenty of goodies for our students.
Students will be voting on the best decorated car.

Personal Devices at School
If students bring personal devices to school such as phones, iPads, tablets, or computers, please note that they may only use them for educational purposes while on school grounds. NO STUDENT MAY PLAY ANY GAMES OTHER THAN EDUCATIONAL GAMES ON THEIR DEVICES. This includes students who are in the before or after school program. Anything that is viewed while at school must have a G rating, and students should NEVER PLAY VIOLENT GAMES OR SHOW THEM TO OTHER STUDENTS. All students have signed a non-violence pledge and everyone must keep their pledge at all times. If a student chooses not to follow this policy, his/her device will be held in the office until a parent can pick it up.

Dominican Corner: A Visit From Sister Mary Susanna Vasquez, O.P.

This Wednesday, Sister Mary Susanna Vasquez will be with us for the day. We are so happy to welcome Sister to St. Ignatius. She has only visited for a brief time in the past, and will be able to experience our wonderful school for the whole day this Wednesday. Sister is part of the leadership team of the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose and she is the coordinator of the affiliate Dominican schools. While she is in Southern California this week, she will visit several other schools that are affiliated with the MSJ Dominicans. We are blessed to be part of this special community!
