SPOT LEAKS, SAVE WATER:

FIX-A-LEAK WEEK IS MARCH 17-23, 2025

Did you know that household leaks can waste nearly 1 trillion gallons of water nationwide each year? That’s enough to supply millions of homes! The good news? Many leaks are easy to find and fix. Fix-a-Leak Week, an annual campaign by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), encourages everyone to check their homes for leaks and make simple repairs to save water and money.

Quick Fixes, Big Savings

Many leaks can be fixed with simple tools and inexpensive replacement parts from your local hardware store. If a leak is beyond DIY repair, consider hiring a licensed plumber to help.

By taking action during Fix-a-Leak Week, you’re not just reducing waste—you’re protecting a precious resource for future generations. Join us in fixing leaks and making every drop count!

RECYCLED WATER PHASE 2C

SCV Water is currently in the process of constructing the Recycled Water Phase 2C project, which will extend recycled water infrastructure from The Old Road and Valencia Boulevard west to Rockwell Canyon Road and south along Tournament Road to Vista Valencia Golf Course. Infrastructure will also be added to a portion of Tourney Road. A tentative schedule is below:

Tourney Road - March 17 to April 18 (M-F), 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Valencia Boulevard I-5 Overpass - March 24 to July 11 (Su-Th), night work

Rockwell Canyon Road - April 1 to May 2 (M-F), 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Please be advised that traffic control will be in place during construction hours. Tourney Road and Rockwell Canyon Road will have lane reductions, but traffic flow in each direction will be maintained at all times.

During work on the Valencia Boulevard I-5 Overpass, lane closures will be in place for off-ramps from I-5 onto Valencia Boulevard. Please allow for extra travel time and obey all signage.

Access to residential neighborhoods and businesses will be maintained at all times during this project. Total project completion is anticipated in late 2025.
