📍 Exciting Update: Where Camp Is This Summer
We have one important update: Broadway Bound is moving to a wonderful new home, the National Conference Center in Leesburg. We know this community loves Broad Run, and that another move asks something of your family, so thank you for your flexibility and trust. It is going to be a fantastic season.
The quick background: even with confirmation from Broad Run's theatre teacher and outgoing principal, Loudoun County Public Schools could not permit us on their property this summer due to construction. That was outside our control, so our team found a space worthy of your campers, and we could not be happier.
|
🏛 National Conference Center
18980 Upper Belmont Place, Leesburg, VA 20176
|
The new space is spacious, air conditioned, and secure, with plenty of room for our shows to shine. As one parent reminded us, Broadway Bound succeeds because of its people, not its location, and we could not agree more. We are also working toward a new Creative Arts Center in Ashburn, with more to share soon.
|

⚠️ Important: Changes & Tuition Credits (Please Read)
Our team plans casting and staffing around every registered camper, so a few requests carry a $90 administrative fee, per our Terms and Conditions: changing camps, changing casts, or requesting a tuition credit. Everyday corrections, like a name spelling or a Star Page detail, are not subject to this fee.
If your plans change, please reach out to us as early as you can. We will always do our best to help and to find a solution that works for your family.

☀️ A Day at Broadway Bound
A typical day blends acting, voice, dance, theatre games, character and scene work, small group instruction, tech theatre, and full cast rehearsals. As shows near, rehearsals get more production focused. In other words, joyful chaos with choreography.
Meals and Snacks: Please send a lunch and a refillable water bottle every day. A snack cart is available at lunch with items for sale, but it sells snacks only, not meals, so always pack a lunch.
|
🎒 What to Pack
Pack daily essentials in a clear bin so staff can easily access materials.
Bring daily: • Refillable, labeled water bottle • Lunch and snacks • Script • Pencil and highlighter • Dance shoes (Week 2) • Comfortable clothing • A positive attitude and willingness to participate
Here is the exact clear bin we recommend, so you know just what we mean.
The clear bin we recommend (tap to view) |
Please do not bring: • Expensive valuables • Weapons or prop weapons • Distracting electronics • Excessive cash • Toys unrelated to camp Phones should stay stored during camp hours unless approved by staff.
Dress code: Comfortable clothes you can move in, closed toe shoes, and jazz shoes (tan or black) for performances. Camp t-shirts are handed out on Day 2.
Jazz shoes, tan or black (tap to view) |
A gentle tip from experience: label everything, especially water bottles. There is always a dramatic water bottle identity crisis by Day 3.
|
🎨 Know Your Cast Color and Wear It on Day One!
The easiest way to start strong: send your camper in their cast color on the first morning. Day 1, Monday, July 13, is Class Color Day, so wearing your color makes drop-off a breeze. Find your cast color below:
🟡 Youth Cast (AM and PM): YELLOW
🔴 Dream Cast: RED
🟢 Enchanted Cast: GREEN
🟣 Mythical Cast: PURPLE
⚫ Technical Theatre: BLACK
Please dress your camper in their cast color on Monday, July 13. It is the simplest way to help us start the season smoothly!

|

👗 Costumes and Modesty Garments
Specific costume needs come from each production team closer to performances. Families may be asked to provide base layers: black dance shorts, nude or skin tone undergarments, black leggings, plain black tank tops, nude camisoles, age appropriate nude or black sports bras, seamless undergarments, and character shoes, jazz shoes, or appropriate socks.
Please label all garments, arrive already wearing required base layers when possible, and do not alter costumes at home unless instructed. Any family facing financial hardship is warmly welcome to contact the production team privately. We are committed to a respectful, age appropriate costume experience for every student.
|
🪺 Health, Safety, and Wellbeing
Your camper is in caring, experienced hands. Our team of over 50 staff, including educators, directors, choreographers, music directors, teaching artists, counselors, and interns, keeps campers well supported and supervised. Emergency and medical info is collected at registration. To update it, email info@novapa.org and it goes to our Director of Health and Safety.
 |
Meet Katie Rivers, our Director of Health and Safety. A Loudoun County theatre parent, Katie has been with Broadway Bound since 2016, this is her 12th year, and she brings 30 years of experience with youth and families. |
Medication: Clearly labeled and turned in to the Director of Health and Safety, with instructions or forms when needed. Students generally may not self administer unless pre approved. Allergies and dietary needs: Email updates to info@novapa.org so we can accommodate. Please keep your camper home for fever, vomiting, contagious symptoms, or severe illness, and let the office know.
|
📸 Staying Connected
For urgent situations, we contact families immediately using your emergency contact. We also reach out about injuries, significant behavioral concerns, medical situations, or major emotional concerns.
Reach us by text or call at 571-571-2120 or info@novapa.org during daytime business hours all summer. Please avoid contacting students directly during the camp day, and route urgent matters through the office.
We share photos, highlights, and reminders by email, social media, and the BAND app. Daily photos go to our SmugMug gallery.
