The Brownville Concert Series will welcome award-winning vocalist Stacy Sullivan for performances of "Tornado Alley" June 12-14. The President and CEO of Brownville Concert Series said Sullivan has a unique ability to connect with audiences and keep them engaged throughout the performance. A Nodaway County organization known as "Nodaway Says No" held an informational meeting Wednesday evening to discuss opposition to a proposed data center planned for southern Nodaway County. Group spokesperson Tim Schafer said public involvement will be key as discussions about the proposed development continue. Nodaway Says No plans to hold another community meeting Tuesday at the Maryville Community center from 6 to 8 p.m. KXCV's John Coffey attended the meeting and gathered the reporting.

As Missouri prepares for an increase in international visitors ahead of this summer's World Cup soccer matches, health experts are urging travelers to stay informed and take precautions following a global Ebola health emergency declared by the World Health Organization. Ebola spread through direct contact with bodily fluids of an infected person and can cause fever, vomiting, bleeding and organ failure in severe cases. KBIA shares their reporting.

Mosaic Medical Center - Albany has been recognized as one of the top 20 critical access hospitals in the nation for overall performance, according to new rankings released by the Chartis Center for Rural Health and the National Rural Health Association. The hospital places a strong emphasis on patient and caregiver feedback when identifying quality priorities, Dias said. KXCV's Jaden Varner has the story.

The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art is unveiling two new exhibitions featuring artists whose work explores storytelling, landscape and memory through different artistic perspectives. Northwest Showdown Truck/Tractor Pull & Drag Races

Northwest Showdown is an action-packed truck and tractor pull + truck show taking place May 23–24, 2026 at its new location in Maryville.

This two-day event brings together motorsports fans for a weekend full of power, competition, and entertainment. Saturday kicks off at 11 AM with a Show-N-Shine, burnout competition, vendors, and a crowd-favorite truck and tractor pull at 5 PM. Sunday starts at 10 AM featuring side-by-side dirt drags, more vendors, another Show-N-Shine, and wraps up with a concert at 7 PM.

With a variety of vehicles on display, high-adrenaline events, and activities for spectators and participants alike, Northwest Showdown is a must-attend weekend for anyone who loves trucks, tractors, and motorsports.

Entry is $20 per day, and participants can preregister for the Show-N-Shine online.
