Downtown St. Joseph is once again transforming into an open-air art gallery as the Allied Arts Council launches Sculpture Walk 2026, marking the event's 13th year in the community. The exhibit gives residents and visitors an opportunity to experience public art while exploring local businesses and attractions. The new season officially begins Saturday with an Artist Meet and Greet at 9:30 a.m. Guided walking tours will follow, starting at 10 a.m. and continuing every 30 minutes through 11:30 a.m.

Conception Abbey has exceeded its fundraising goal for a major facilities improvement campaign, raising more than $1.9 million through its Faithful Stewards mini-campaign. The campaign surpassed its $1.7 million target by more than $200,000, providing funding for critical upgrades at Conception Abbey and Conception Seminary College.

While thousands of Missouri fans travel to Columbia each year to support University of Missouri athletics, Mizzou officials are spending part of the summer returning the favor. The third day of the university's "Zou to You" tour brought Mizzou athletics representatives to Maryville, where fans gathered to hear updates on the future of Tiger athletics and discuss issues affecting college sports. The tour is designed to strengthen relationships with supporters across the state, according to Mike Kelly, the longtime voice of the Missouri Tigers.

Drivers in northwest Missouri should prepare for travel delays later this month as the Missouri Department of Transportation begins a major road resurfacing project spanning five counties. Contractor Emery Sapp & Sons is scheduled to resurface seven routes in Nodaway, Andrew Gentry, Harrison, and Daviess counties. The project includes work on Route J in Nodaway and Andrew counties; Routes UU and P in Gentry County; Routes P, D and W in Harrison County; and Route C in Daviess County.
