Trunk or Treat 2023

The event is open to the community; so to offer this hospitality to our neighbors in our area, our Preschool community, Scouting community and congregational community, we need your help! Please sign up to donate candy or small prizes, or to host a decorated trunk or table, or to hand out candy, or to run a game, or to supervise the Bounce Houses. Please sign up here.

Hear, Go, See Returns!

If you want to HEAR someone new or GO and SEE something different this is the adult fellowship group for you! Join us October 14, 2023 for the Indiana Landmarks Wabash, IN rehabilitation tour of 6 properties dating from 1849 – 1972. Lunch will follow. Not all buildings are handicap accessible. The tour is rain or shine and will take most of the day. Carpools will meet in the church parking lot at 9:00 SHARP. Tickets are purchased at indianalandmarks.org/tours-events: $12.00 Members, $15.00 non-members, $20.00 day of tour. Sign-up on Main Street Questions: call, Robin Pemberton, 317-753-7180.

MISSIONS

Help Support Clothesline Ministry

Did you know that OPPC has a Clothesline Ministry providing clothing to at-risk Carmel Clay Elementary and Middle School students? Did you know that the Clothesline Ministry expanded its reach this year to include all Carmel Clay Elementary and Middle Schools? Did you know that the Clothesline Ministry has filled 19 requests for clothing since the beginning of the fall 2023 school year?

To fill more requests, we need your help. Please bring new and gently used clothing appropriate for elementary and middle school students and fill up the grocery cart on Main Street. The cart is right beside a table which has handouts and a clothesline of clothing items needed including pants, shorts, long sleeve & short sleeve shirts, along with new socks and underwear. We will collect donations through the end of October.

According to Cradles to Crayons, "lack of clothing" accounts for 3 of the top 10 reasons kids miss schools. And 2 in 5 American kids are unable to adequately dress themselves every day. Carmel is no exception. OPPC is here to help those in need with your generous contributions. School social workers, teachers, at-risk students, and parents struggling to make ends meet thank you.

Caravan 2024 Fundraiser: Outdoor Nativity Project

If you would like to purchase a outdoor nativity, Click Here for Purchase. The Nativity weighs 12 pounds. They are made from all-weathered PVC plastic that will last for years and years. They are also very easy to put together and install. If you have any questions, please contact Youth Director,

PYOCA Fall Youth Retreat

Join OPPC at PYOCA for the annual Fall Youth Retreat this November 17-19! Each year youth gather together from across Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio for a weekend of rest and fall fun at Pyoca. Youth will gather for keynotes and worship each day, meet new friends through small group sessions, and have plenty of time to explore all that Pyoca has to offer.
