Banking Client Gets Premium (App) Checking
Having the ability to test performance, under loads simulating thousands of users, can aid in discovering and preventing issues before software rollout. This banking client was using a load testing tool that wasn’t meeting their expectations.
The client needed a solution that satisfied their requirements. Following a stringent demo and proof of concept process, the client happily selected Melillo and OpenText LoadRunner Cloud, a cloud-based SaaS performance testing tool that is purpose-built to help organizations like the bank to plan, run, and scale performance tests. The Melillo team was led by Kent Nierendorf and Mike McDonnell who managed the RFP response, demos, and the customer meetings assure the client received the right fit solution.
County-wide Email Upgrade
Melillo was called on to upgrade the MS Exchange servers for an entire Pennsylvania county. In this case, the upgrade and migration were time critical. The county had been using MS Exchange 2010 – which had reached end of life (EOL) at the end of 2020.
We provided guidance and expertise in performing a two-step upgrade. After stabilizing their existing MS Exchange 2010 environment, we upgraded first to Exchange 2016 and then to the final version of Exchange 2019. The Melillo team included Andrew Melillo, Bob Whann, David Smull, Mark Nixon, and Dean Amato.
Powering Up Backup Solutions for Retail Energy Provider
The client needed to maintain a secure data backup for its Microsoft 365 cloud-powered productivity platform. Melillo deployed 11:11 Systems Cloud Backup for Veeam Cloud Connect which integrates Veeam backup and replication software for easy and cost-effective offsite backup and archive. 11:11 Cloud Backup for Veeam Cloud Connect protects critical data from internal and external cybersecurity threats, provides long-term retention, and modernizes backup strategy. The Melillo team included Andrew Melillo, Phil Bianco, David Smull and Don Scobell.
Commercial Banking Customer Gets Smooth Storage Transition
Our client needed a replacement for its aging network-attached storage system, but there was a hitch. A larger data center migration, planned to take place in two years, meant they wanted an inexpensive and non-disruptive migration.
Our team structured a 24-month Dell APEX deal that met all the bank’s requirements. The Dell APEX platform provided a fully managed PowerScale storage solution that would be removed by the end of the term. Best of all, the bank found that this solution would cost 40% less than a competitive recommendation while delivering the required non-disruptive migration. The Melillo team included Joe Staiber, Rick Catalano, and Chris Bolton.
