Planting the seeds of knowledge - Our littlest learners were all green thumbs in the Early Childhood Garden this week planting tomatoes with the help of our amazing volunteers. First, they read a book about gardening and composting. Then, students crushed up egg shells to mix into the soil and learned about planting marigolds next to the tomatoes as a natural bug deterrent. Check out our Facebook page for more photos.
During the season of Epiphany, Rev. Phillips will be sermonizing on the Book of Mark. There will be small group sessions each week. One session is aimed at parents of middle school children, but all parents are welcome. Please see the latest church bulletin for more information.
SOUPER BOWL OF CARING FOOD DRIVE
Souper Bowl has been a wonderful way for our school community to come together and provide meals for those in need here, in downtown Melbourne. In an effort to continue in Jesus’s call to feed those who are hungry, we will be holding our Souper Bowl of Caring Food Drive on Wednesday, January 24th, between 8:15 am and 9:15 am. All donated items will then be caravanned by our Character Ed parent-teachers and parent-volunteers to our local food bank, the Daily Bread Distribution Center at or before 9:30am.
Here is a suggested list of non-perishable items needed for the food drive:
- Canned chili
- Canned soups/ stews
- Canned chicken or other meats
- Canned fish (tuna/ salmon)
- Canned beans
- Canned vegetables
- Nut butters
- Bagged/ boxed pasta (uncooked)
- Bagged/boxed rice (uncooked)
(Students may donate more than one item. Items such as bread loaves and crackers are also welcomed.)
While we encourage you to give what you can, it is most beneficial to consider the following:
- Pop-tops for canned goods.
- Items with clearly labeled expiration dates.
- No glass containers, please.
- Remember, if canned items have been sitting in the back of your pantry for an unknown amount of time, or are dented or damaged in any way, it’s probably best to leave that donation at home, or throw it out.
Every donation makes a difference. Thank you!

WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE
Last Friday, students in Holy Trinity's Advanced and Chamber string classes attended a workshop at Disney World through its Imagination Campus Program. Students worked with a Disney teaching artist to explore the skills needed to be a professional studio player. At the two and a half hour long workshop, they honed their skills of focus, listening, self-confidence, and communication with one another and together produced a soundtrack that was overlaid with a short Disney animated film from Beauty and the Beast.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining"!

SULLIVAN JOINS HOLY TRINITY ATHLETICS AS NEW HEAD COACH OF GIRLS LACROSSE
Holy Trinity welcomes Coach Megan Sullivan to our Tiger Athletics program as the new Head Coach of Girls Lacrosse, replacing Coach Craig Carson who recently accepted a promotion within the Sheriff's Office and can no longer dedicate the time necessary for coaching. He will be truly missed and we wish him only the best in this new endeavor.
Coach Sullivan brings a wealth of experience and passion to the lacrosse field, shaping athletes not only as players but as individuals. With a playing career at Division 1 Monmouth University and Division 2 Saint Leo University, and a coaching career spanning over seven years, Sullivan has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence, sportsmanship, and player development while cultivating a supportive team atmosphere.
Recognizing the importance of community involvement, Coach Sullivan actively participates in local lacrosse programs, clinics, and youth development initiatives. As Tigers' Head Coach she looks forward to continuing her journey of shaping future leaders on the field and cultivating a winning culture built on character, integrity, and excellence. She is committed to fostering a love for sport at all levels and building a strong lacrosse community.
Sullivan will be coaching at the Dual Pro Day Clinic being held in Tampa THIS WEEKEND (Jan. 13-14). All defender’s/midfielders are encouraged to attend. See below flyer for details. Sign up at www.backyardsportslacrosse.com.
