A few weekends ago, Brian McLaughlin, Dave Rosvold and Cie Stroud drove the first 5 of the 7 days. The route is an excellent challenge with lovely scenery.

Reunion & Recruitment Ride Wrap-up

What spectacular weather we had! Dry pavement and warm air. I was fascinated that you all were more hungry than thirsty when you returned (new Director of Events Catherine “Cie” Stroud, here. This was the first ride I helped organize for you all). Of the 45 who set out on the route, 13 (or 28% of you) were new to the Anchor House rides. Welcome, new participants! New participant Dana Cahill won the raffle for 50% registration in July. Congratulations, Dana!

A survey of the new participants is underway. Of those who have responded to date, it was not their first road ride for any of them and they had all participated in cycling or non-cycling endurance sports recently / previously.

Lost & Found: If you lost the inside to the end of your handlebar or a black water bottle, reach out to Cie.

Many thanks to volunteers Kathy Squires at the desk; Brian McLaughlin for designing the route; Rick Squires and Tom Imbrigiotta for roving the route; Jeanne Imbrigiotta, Debbie Hutchinson and Kathy Drulis for previewing and pre-testing the route; and Kathy Drulis for her wealth of information and advice, and for the pretzels she donated and we devoured. Lastly, thank you, Anchor House board members Russ Buckley, for speaking about Anchor House programs, and Sebella Miller, for joining us as a new participant!

New Year's Day Ride

Join us in taking part in this special reunion / recruitment / holiday event, a New Year's Day tradition since 1991.

This ride departs from downtown Princeton and covers 30 miles. Parking is free in Princeton on New Year's Day. Once again, there will be a raffle for new participants to win 50% off registration. So, invite someone!

Wearing Green

A slideshow of green Ride for Runaways t-shirts.

November is National Runaway Prevention Month and Nov. 16 the Anchor House and Foundation staff wore green to show support for and remind young people who have run away or are experiencing homelessness that they are not alone.

Ride for Runaways t-shirts from 2022, 2021, 2016, 2014, 2004, 1996, 1992, and 1989 have green backgrounds. Yes, teal counts, and mint does too!
