Hello, September!

There’s something about September that always feels like a fresh start. School is back in session, routines are settling in, football is back and here in Pottsboro, we’re getting ready for one of my favorite times of the year.

Frontier Day is almost here!

Our annual Frontier Day Festival is such a special Pottsboro tradition and one of those days that truly shows what makes our community so great. It’s a chance to come together with neighbors, friends, local businesses and visitors for a day of fun while celebrating the small town spirit we’re so lucky to have.

I hope you’ll make plans to join us, bring your family, support our vendors and local businesses, and enjoy everything Frontier Day has to offer. Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers, sponsors, businesses and community members who step up year after year, and we are incredibly grateful for each of you.

As we head into a busy fall season, I also want to encourage everyone to continue supporting the businesses that support our community. Grab lunch somewhere local, stop into a shop you haven’t visited in a while, recommend a Chamber member to a friend, or simply share a local business’s post on social media. Those small things really do make a difference.

I’m looking forward to a wonderful September and an even better fall here in Pottsboro. I hope to see many of you at Frontier Day!

Join us at the Pottsboro Library as we have coffee together, meet your neighbors and visit with community leaders from Pottsboro. Refreshments will be served. The panel will vary by meeting. This Community Chat we will have our new Chamber President Traci Cherry, Mayor Tom Ceci and City Manager Shone Nix giving us updates about what's going on in Pottsboro! We hope you'll join us from 8:15am - 9:15am on Oct.13th!

There is a NEW NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY for our business members scheduled for September 8th at 11:30am. This event is called the Chamber Business Builders and is a working lunch meeting. We will provide all attendees time to speak to the group where each can explain details about their business, share who their targeted clientele is, and ask for specific referrals from the group. At each meeting we will have one presenting speaker who will have approximately 10 minutes to discuss their business and business needs in detail. Our presenting speaker this time is Nourish to Flourish Retreat. We will be holding the Business Builder events every other month starting in January and it will be held on the 2nd Tuesday, so mark your calendars now!

Get ready to saddle up for one of the biggest events of the year – Frontier Day 2026! Thank you to our presenting sponsor OX Reality! We are excited to announce that preparations for the highly anticipated 2026 Frontier Day are underway, and we are reaching out to invite you to become a sponsor for this spectacular event.

Frontier Day will take place on Saturday, September 26th, at Friendship Park in Pottsboro. This event draws attendees from Texoma and the surrounding areas, featuring a variety of food vendors, over 100 shopping booths, a bug-eating contest, parade, live music, children's activities, arts and crafts, and much more!
