  1. Old Timers Gathering: Saturday, October 20, 2018, 1:00-4:00pm at the Old Schoolhouse Museum. Admission is free and snacks and soft drinks will be provided. Click for more info.
  2. The 2018 Twentynine Palms Weed Show! Saturday, November 3 & Sunday, November 4. This years theme is: Colorful Characters. The show will be open for viewing on Saturday (Nov. 3) Noon to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday (Nov. 4) 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Click here for more about this event.   3. Reserve yourself a place in history and help support the museum by purchasing an engraved brick. Engraved bricks are $35.00 for one engraved line or 4 bricks for $120.00. Two additional lines may be purchased for $5.00 each.The bricks, unless requested to be grouped, will be installed, at random, in front of the steps of the Old Schoolhouse. The City of Twentynine Palms is partnering with Burrtec Waste and Recycling Services for this Community Cleanup! October 27, 9am-1pm behind City Hall (6136 Adobe Rd.)
With some 150 artists, 96 studios and two weekends, the Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council’s Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours is off and running this weekend and next! October 13, 14, 20 and 21 bring days of unlimited discovery for art lovers local to the Joshua Tree area and from cities far and wide.

The 3rd annual Joshua Tree International Improv/Comedy Festival runs Friday, November 9 through Sunday, November 11 at The Hi-Desert Cultural Center located at 61231 Highway 62, in Joshua Tree (just ½ mile from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park). They are gearing up for the 2019 Parade of Homes fundraiser to be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019. Officials are seeking homes and sponsors for the 15th Annual Parade of Homes.

Homes are being sought in Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, and Morongo Valley, and homeowners are urged to call Reach Out Morongo Basin at (760) 361-1410 for more information or to offer their homes for consideration.
