The Goldin Solar Story
To understand what sets Goldin Solar apart from the other solar companies in the market it is vital to understand the origin of Goldin Solar. Sure, many companies started because they observed the financial opportunity and growth that solar has brought and will continue to bring, and certainly the observation of an incredible opportunity is true for Goldin Solar as well. However, our commitment goes far beyond jumping on a bandwagon for a
“new”
energy trend. Our perspective is that a solar contracting company is the strongest when it can rely on a comprehensive background in engineering and construction management. This allows us to perform product selection, project engineering and project delivery, not based on short term industry trends, but based on the understanding of science and engineering principles.
Marshall Terrin, Owner of the Goldin Solar Avalon Park Branch came to be a part of Goldin Solar because Joe Cataldo, Co-founder of the company, found that he was having issues with the “sales companies” whom were not contractors themselves and had integrity issues and Goldin had no control of the sales process within the company, so Joe realized that he needed someone that he could trust to develop an in house sales team that would be ran with integrity and honesty. Marshall is also a resident of Avalon Park Village 1.
Daren Goldin, Founder and South Florida Branch Manager, a Miami native received his BS in Civil Engineering with a concentration in structural engineering from the University of South Florida. He completed his MS in Civil Engineering in Construction Engineering and Project Management from the University of Texas, Austin.
Joe Cataldo, Vero Beach Branch Manager, has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida, with specialization in power electronics and semi-conductor manufacturing. Joe is a product expert, having designed PV systems for NASA and the US Navy, and specializes in selecting the most effective technologies for Goldin Solar Customers, ensuring that they get the best possible solution.
We want to make sure that you have all the information that you need to make a fully educated decision about whether “going solar” is right for you. You should always make sure to ask these questions when shopping solar: 1. Ask for an engineering simulation such as helioscope or aurora, this is like a “car fax” when purchasing a car. 2. Fact check energy efficiency sales pitches. 3. RUN is they don’t request all 12 months of electric bills or calculate from the graph on one of your bills. 4. Wind ratings. Make sure they do not recommend anything bigger than a 60-cell panel, hurricane damage is not covered in any manufactures warranty and larger panels will bend more in high winds.
Any of our staff members are happy to meet with you in your home to go over your current electric bills and build a solar system specific to your needs! You are also more than welcome to stop by our office, located next to the YMCA on Avalon Lake Dr or give us a call at your leisure!
