SOUTH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PTO'S TIGER TICKETS RAFFLE FUNDRAISER

On October 1st, South School PTO will kick off our biggest and newest fundraiser of the year: TIGER TICKETS RAFFLE FUNDRAISER! South School PTO has been working hard behind the scenes to make this fundraiser a huge success. On October 1st, your child will come home with a bag containing information on our fundraiser, raffle tickets, and various flyers and forms that go along with our fundraiser. On October 1st - October 24th, purchase a raffle ticket for $10 or a bundle deal on raffle tickets for a chance to win one of 24 gift cards (6 $25 dollar gift cards; 6 $50 dollar gift cards; 6 $75 dollar gift cards; and 6 $100 dollar gift cards). Since we know our South School Tigers love earning prizes, we have amazing South School themed prizes that will be awarded to ENTIRE CLASSROOMS once a classroom reaches low threshold fundraising goals! Individual high sellers will also be eligible to win additional prizes in the form of gift cards! The highest earning classroom wins a pizza party and the highest earning individual will win a special prize!

South Elementary School PTO's First Community Meeting Sept. 17th 6:30 pm South School Cafeteria
Join your PTO for our first community meeting of the year on Sept. 17th at 6:30 pm in the South School cafeteria. Don't have child care, bring your kids! Your PTO will provide entertainment including play-dough, coloring supplies, board games, and supervised outdoor play.
We plan on introducing the new board, discussing upcoming events, and the events we have supported this academic year thus far. Our focus will be our new fundraiser Tiger Tickets and how you can help!
LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
The South School Library is still looking for volunteers for these classes:
Library volunteers help with book check in and check out, reshelving books, and special library projects. Library volunteers are asked to come into the library every other week, alternating with their partner, during their class's library time for the entire school year.
To volunteer in the library, you must have a cleared CORI form. You must also complete one library volunteer training in-person with the school library teacher, Mrs. T-K. The volunteer trainings will be offered at the below dates and times:
Thur. Sept. 11 from 2:35-3:22
Fri. Sept. 12 from 12:45-1:30
Mon. Sept. 15 from 9:00-10:00.
Wed. Sept. 17 from 10:25-11:15

Dine Out For South School PTO
Please join South School PTO for its very first Dine Out for South for the 25-26 school year, being held on September 29th at Otto Pizza, located at 27 Main Street in Andover. Dine in or take out Otto on September 29th and help South School PTO raise funds. Ten percent (10%) of every purchase at Otto ALL DAY ON THE 29th will be donated to South School PTO (no need to mention South when you order)! Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your neighbors and help us make this a huge success!
Destination Imagination
This Monday, come to the Destination Imagination parent info session to discover how your child can join a team and take on exciting STEM based challenges this year! Please use this link to register https://challengemeinc.org/rsvp/.
In DI, students in grades k - 12 form teams to build, invent, design, and perform their way through open ended challenges - and present their original solutions at a tournament in March.
