On June 8th, our City of Calgary Council will vote on important issues related to the future of the Calgary Transit's Greenline. The Calgary Alliance has asked that we write letters and emails to our city councillors urging them to support the construction of the Greenline. At this link is a summary of the issues and a sample letter along with names and contact information for all the councillors. Please contact your councillor with your support of the Greenline funding and construction. Your voice matters!
Affirming Connections Calgary invites you to a screening of Sex, Sin & 69. Sex, Sin & 69 is an 80-minute historical, retrospective film about the 1969 legislation to ‘decriminalize’ homosexuality. Told through contemporary voices including queer academics, historians, activists, educators, artists, and community builders, the film attempts to challenge our understanding of queer history by shining a light on widely adopted misconceptions surrounding decriminalization.
