Yes, it is that time of year! Be sure to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night or you might be the first one to arrive for church Sunday!
Agape' will resume in-person worship November 1, 2020
What you need to know...

1) We are using a reservation system for our available seating. Please email us to reserve your seat(s). Please include your name and the name(s) of your guest(s) in the email. We have a limited seating capacity of 30 and only have a few seats remaining. We are asking you to reserve a seat so we can plan for a safe seating arrangement. This also provides us with a record of our attendees just in case we have a need for contact tracing. Reservations is not something we would normally do but these are not normal times. We are being proactive and careful with the people we love and cherish.

2) Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of service at 10:30. We will be checking temperatures at the door.

3) Please wear your mask during the entire service and please maintain social distancing.

4) We have marked entrance and exit paths for the Narthex and Sanctuary. We ask that you please observe these directional markers for social distancing. Thank you in advance!

5) We have placed sanitizing wipes in the Narthex restrooms. We ask for your assistance in sanitizing these areas after each use. Thank you!

We will continue to stream our services via Facebook Live.

Cannot wait to see you in person or virtually Sunday! You are loved!

Scheduled Events
2020 Congregational Meeting Information
Our Congregational Meeting Forum is scheduled for November 8th and the Congregational Meeting is scheduled for November 15th both following our morning Worship Service. The Board of Directors are working on a hybrid plan that will allow both in-person and Zoom participation. We will send details in a separate Agape' Update with the links to the Zoom sessions and a link to the Congregational Packet next week.
Watch for it!
Just a reminder to check out the Agape' website
In 2019 we worked with Smat Consulting to develop a new website for Agape' MCC.  Smat Consulting helped us to create a new website from the ground up that is more up to date and better reflects who we are.  The website is updated each week with information about upcoming services, Wednesday gatherings, as well as the latest video recordings of services and links to the current and past newsletters.  There are many other resources on the website, including board reports and donation information.  If you have not visited our new website, please check it out and let us know what you think.

How to Create a Balanced Life: 9 Tips to Feel Calm and...

"Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony." ~Thomas Merton As a Libra, my sign is the scale, which signifies balance. I'm not sure how much my "signage" plays into my desire to live a balanced life, but I...

Thanks be to God who provides a beautiful day to rest. We celebrate this day down in our souls,
we celebrate having Christian goals!

Remembering today is a day that God has created.
We all have choices to make.
Do we protect our streams and lakes?
Do we care for the homeless, offering them rest
or do we treat them as less?
Do we love as Christ wants us to love?
Or do we only put on our Christianity
with our Sunday glove?
Do we serve each other?
Do we help our sibling?
Or do we walk on by,
thinking their sign is a lie?
Do we make assumptions or make judgments?

You, Holy One, celebrate all lives!
You, God who knows our heart even when we don’t.
You, God who hears our cry
when we mourn those who die.

God, we ask for forgiveness
and even in our nakedness,
God you forgive.
With you on our side,
we fight for injustices and racism to fall away.
We work to overcome,
so that equality will reign one day.
God help us to be kind.
Remind us we can’t help others, if we remain blind. Lastly, help us pray for all! Amen
