Practitioner of the Month
Our Practitioner of the Month for May is
Sandy Gohlke, R.Sc.P.

I became licensed as a practitioner 20 years ago. Since then I have continued as a student and a teacher in Science of Mind classes. Consistent spiritual practice and conscious connection in Oneness with Spirit provides me the avenue to align with Divine Truth for myself and others. My greatest joy is being with others as they expand their thinking and open to greater recognition of the divine presence within them. Through acceptance of self/Self all things are possible and the doorway to unexpected discoveries opens the path to greater freedom, peace and love.

I value every practitioner session because it provides opportunity to learn how to use Science of Mind Principles as a way of life. Practitioner sessions involve deep listening, inquiry, teaching principle and affirmative prayer.  I meet each person in his/her wholeness, sharing unconditional love and connection while greater truths are revealed. Often what may appear as problems are impermanent and can be replaced with higher thinking and updating old beliefs. My greatest joy is experiencing the creative process in myself and others. Painting with watercolors is one of my pastimes.
The Book of the Month for May
Creativity by Matthew Fox
The author of  Original Blessing  explores how the highest communion with the Divine can be found right at our fingertips in the simplest expressions of human creativity.

Drawn from a sermon that has electrified listeners, here is a concise, powerful meditation on the nature of creativity from Episcopal priest and radical theologian Matthew Fox.

Creativity  is Fox at his most dynamic: It is immensely practical and leaves the reader with a message to put into action in life. Fox tantalizingly suggests that the most prayerful, most spiritually powerful act a person can undertake is to create, at his or her own level, with a consciousness of the place from which that gift arises.

The Iversen Wellness and Recovery Center

The Iversen Wellness and Recovery Center is a resource for adults (18+) who are actively working on their mental health recovery and wellness. The Iversen Center provides encouragement for living well with mental illness, mental health and wellness education, and support and socialization free from stigma. *This program is supported by Butte County Behavioral Health and MHSA funding.*

For more information click here .
Each month, our Center selects a viable non-profit organization - usually within Chico - that we can support with our loose change. We encourage you to bring your spare change so that we may contribute tangible change along with our philosophy of changing one's thinking to change lives. Look for the big water jug in the foyer as you leave the Center. Thank you.
