O'Fallon's Bluff among reasons federal judge revokes permit for Nebraska Public Power District's R-Project

The ruling cites three reasons, the first being that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service — which issued the permit — “inadequately considered the effects of the R-Project on the O’Fallon’s Bluff segment of the Oregon and California Trail” near Sutherland.

An updated OCTA Strategic Plan was drafted during a workshop held in Yuma, Arizona on February 20, 2020. OCTA members are encouraged to review and submit comments  by August 15, 2020  to Strategic Planning Committee Chairman Dick Waugh at:  [email protected].

California-Nevada Chapter Restores Nancy Allen Gravesite

OCTA's Vice President Dick Waugh worked with members of his chapter to restore protective post and rail enclosure around this 1857 gravesite that was damaged by grazing cattle. The work was completed last week on June 17. Read Dick's full report and see pictures of the work at the link here.
