Just three months ago, our lives were turned upside down, and all that we valued in Special Olympics seemed to be out of reach. But the passion and spirit of Special Olympics Wyoming is still alive and thriving – we’ve worked hard to stay connected with each other – we’ve looked at creative ways to keep active and waited for the door to open so we can celebrate in person. Thank you to all the coaches and coordinators that kept our program connected – thank you to the Law Enforcement community for their remarkable show of support – thank you to our athletes for believing!
As many of you know, I have announced my retirement for the beginning of September. I have been honored and privileged to work with the best athletes in the world, phenomenal coaches and volunteers, remarkable families, and generous donors. There are no words that come close to how grateful I am to have been able to work and volunteer for Special Olympics in so many capacities.
Keep the passion strong, the will to be better than we were yesterday, and celebrate every day.
