"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar. We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.
We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs, hurts, joys, and interests."

We pray for our church, our clergy, vestry and all members. Help us to remain strong in our faith and in our commitment to our parish and to each other. We ask your continuing blessings on our presiding bishop Michael Curry, our bishop Robert Wright, our retired bishop Neil Alexander, and our priests Scott and Sue. Bless the Nonnemakers at Virginia Theological Seminary. Help us to complete our pledge commitments for the coming year so that we may continue our outreaches. Holy Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for our president Donald, our president-elect Joe, for the leaders of the nations, and for all in authority that they may compassionately work for justice and peace. Holy Lord, hear our prayer.
For all who serve in the military at home and on deployments. Help us to prayerfully remember them always and to honor their service. Protect them wherever they are serving. Pray for Jamie Davey, Jordan Davey, Brett Turner, Jennifer Parrish, Bart Ziccardi, Robert Rish, Kayla Ziccardi, Frank Caruccio, Joseph Lorenz, Wayne Lovell, Jessica Stephens, Mitchell Stephens, Brandon Richards, Drew Camp and Jason Gregoryk. Guide, guard and protect all law enforcement and first responders, including Don Scalia. Please cover all health care workers with your blessings of protection and strength as they work to save lives, including Dr. William Koeppel, Marika Csatary, JM Kidd, Chloe Gedney, Jackie Hayes, Dr. Barbara Camp, Roxanne Hall, Susie Murray, Susan Smith and Candler Kimsey. Let our prayers, thanks and love encourage them as they face the dangers and the uncertainty of this pandemic. Holy Lord, hear our prayer.
Help us to wait patiently for the availability of the vaccine and to encourage those who qualify for it to persist until they receive it. While it promises hope for the coming months and years, help us to continue to embrace our personal responsibility to do all we can to help control the spread of this killer. We pray for those in our parish with immediate needs, including Christine Runkle, Mark Dieffenbacher, Larry Roland, Jane Maier and Larry Holbrook. We pray for those with long-term needs. including Carol Prescott, Helen Schlaefflin, Kelly Smith, Lloyd Mills, Gil Pollit, Jennifer Smith, Kevin LaForce and Dennis Bergin. Pray for family and friends of our parish, including Jackie, Luci, Billy, Gordon Weatherby, Scott Casavant, Emily, Sheila, Richard Turner, Teddy Thompson, Jessie Mutchler Brownlee, Warner Brock, Ross McConnell and Ramona Brogdon. Holy Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for mothers that await the birth of her child, especially Katie Rose Ledford. We pray that you will keep the newborn, the fragile infants and vulnerable children safe from any illness or power that could harm them. Holy Lord, hear our prayer.
We thank you for these members of our church family who are celebrating birthdays this time of year, including Paul Kimball and Madeline Braswell, and anniversaries. Meet them with blessings every day, and give them joy in the times you have made for them. Holy Lord, hear our prayer.
