The Mira Costa West Field is close to completion.

Marching band and Colorguard prepare for football season!
Even before school started, the Costa Marching band and Colorguard members were hard at work at a two-week Band Camp. They learned the basics of marching and started learning the music for this season’s Field Show, “Outside the Bachs”. Read more
Girls Volleyball starts season strong!
The Lady Mustangs have started their season very strong with a 3rd place finish at the opening tournament of the season, and have also defeated rival Edison High School from Huntington Beach!
With two invitationals, it was a banner weekend for MCXC!
The Cool Breeze Invitational took place on Friday, September 8th and the Laguna Hills Invitational took place on Saturday, September 9th.
Costa Boys Beach volleyball defeats Loyola and starts season 2-1!
Mira Costa Boys Beach Volleyball opened the season on August 26 against Loyola High School and Notre Dame. In Beach tournaments, each school fields three doubles teams. The school that wins 2 out of 3 of the matches is the winner of the dual.  Read more for highlights.
Mira Costa Baseball Team donated time and energy to assist with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
The Costa Baseball team spent a lot of their time over the Labor Day weekend to help our Mira Costa with relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey victims. Read more
MUN starts the year off with some team bonding!
Mira Costa Model United Nations held their annual senior-sophomore team day on Friday, September 8, 2017. The seniors and sophomores grouped into teams and participated in an Amazing Race-style scavenger hunt across the Mira Costa campus. Read more
Boys Water Polo captures 18U Title at Hawaiian Invitational and excels in awards!
Mira Costa’s Boys 18U Water Polo team captured the title of the 49th Annual Hawaiian Invitational water polo tournament held at venues near Waikiki on August 1-6th. Team Goalie, Garrett Allen, was named tournament MVP. Read more
Girls Tennis plays well in Golden State Tennis Classic at Stanford University!
Mira Costa Girls Tennis played well in probably the most competitive high school tennis tournament in the country, but did not do as well as in prior years. Mira Costa finished twelfth in the Golden State Tennis Classic at Stanford University.
Mira Costa Choirs are kicking off another great year!
On September 20 th , the Choir department will be hosting the Women’s Choir of Mission Vista High School and their director, Mr. Bryce Harrison. This is the third year for the Mira Costa Choirs to have this exchange. Read more
Mira Costa Drama/Tech Announces its Fall Season
This year, Mira Costa Drama/Tech is excited to announce two fall plays:  Twelve Angry Jurors  and  The Diviners.

Drama/Tech’s first ComedySportz match is Friday, Oct. 6th, 7 pm, in the MCHS Small Theatre.

Mira Costa Drama/Tech will be hosting its annual student-led face painting booth in Live Oak Field on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7th & 8th, during the MB Hometown Fair.

Know of a great student band? Let us know!
This year, Costapalooza will feature one student band on the Quad during lunch.
To be considered, email the name of your band, your members, contact information and a sample of your music to Ed McKeegan ( ) no later than Friday, September 22nd.
Team Costa reps will vote on the band to perform.
Bands must have a minimum of 3 musicians. At least one member must be a current Costa student.
Bands can bring their own equipment/set up, or we’ll provide it.
The Mira Costa Rugby Program presents a FREE day of competition, speed, determination and fun!!
