ANNOUNCEMENTS

STUDENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Attention High School Student Coders!

Timberline Middle School is looking for RHS students to help lead and coach a brand-new Coding Club for 6th-8th grade students.

The club will run virtually to start but may open to in-person meetings later in the year. Students will need to be LWSD approved volunteers and be willing to commit 1 to 2 hours per week. Student volunteers will work closely with our program chair and all volunteer hours can count toward NHS requirements.

Learn more about the TMS Coding Club here: TMS Coding Club Overview

Interested in becoming a Coding Club Coach? Email the TMS VP of Volunteers at volunteers1@timberlineptsa.org.

CONGRATULATIONS MUSTANG ARTISTS!

Thank you to all our Redmond Mustang artists for submitting amazing works of art this year to our Annual Reflections program. It is always an extremely difficult process for our judges to make the decision on which pieces move forward and this year was especially difficult. Every artist should be very proud of their work, and we look forward to watching you all grow as amazing artists!

Congratulations to our artists whose work will move on to the Council level!

ANNUAL GIFT CARD DRIVE

Help us support our community members in need during the holiday season with the RHS Annual Gift Card drive.

All proceeds directly support our Redmond neighbors and community members. We are accepting gift cards in increments of $25 from either Fred Meyer or Target. Gift cards can be dropped off in the collection box in the RHS Front Office from Mon. Dec 13 to Thu Dec 16.

Thank you for your generosity and your support in making the holidays bright for our whole community.

RHS PTSA SPRING ART FAIR

Mark your calendars for the exciting upcoming Spring Arts Fair on April 30th! Due to limits on indoor gathering, we have changed our annual holiday bazaar to an outdoor spring show! Please be sure to join us to see all of your favorite local arts and craft vendors, live music, student art, food trucks, and more!

Are you a vendor interested in being part of this show? Are you a volunteer interested in helping to plan the event? Please email vp_face@redmondhsptsa.org today!

RHS PTSA SUSTAINABILITY

Wrapping Paper.JPG

WRAP IT UP IN ECO-FRIENDLY LOVE

As we move into December, many of our families are buying wrapping paper for all the gifts they will be giving this year. Unfortunately, wrapping paper you find in card shops and supermarkets is often crafted from low-quality fibers coated in plastic, dyed, or decorated with glitter. All of which renders it un-recyclable.

Why not try out a different, kinder type of wrapping paper this year? How about dressing up traditional brown paper with some ribbon and maybe some pieces of fir from the trees? When the present is unwrapped, the ribbon can be saved, and the brown paper and the fir can go in the compost. Another option is to wrap gifts in fabric, this can be used again. Pinterest has many pins full of folding and tying ideas for fabric wraps.
