The Pen is mightier than the sword…

To paralyze the Caesars,

And to strike the loud earth breathless!

Edward Bulwer-Lytton

San Jose State University started out like this with great conversations:

30 thousand students on campus - we handed out a lot of the truth

But it was the day after Charlie Kirk's Memorial Service - and our day ended like this:

"You are interrupting our campus." "We don't want your messaging at our college." "This is a private college, not public." "Students can have stationary displays in the free-speech area, but non-students cannot."

These statements are just a sampling of what the administration and police said to us as we tried to reason with them to avoid the slammer.

Of course, all that the officials barked during our dialogue was unconstitutional and reckless, but some college campuses are rabid haters of non-conformists.

The rest of our team was also kicked out of the free-speech area, but knowing we will ultimately see victory because of our great team of attorneys at Life Legal. Pray for Mike, Katie, and Allison, as they work through the corrupted system of justice. I've been arrested eight times in my forty years of ministry, and Hannah had her first arrest. I've never lost a case, thanks largely to the Life Legal team. We've had some good judges and District Attorneys along the way. Justice can prevail.

Next: Delta College outreach without handcuffs

Pastor Carlos, above right, from the La Morada Church in Stockton loved talking to students.

Below, our sweet protestors need to take a spelling class and annunciation courses. Some of them took the time to engage us, so all was not lost.

Below, Pastor Dave from Big Valley Bible Church in Lodi, sought out students struggling with life, of which there are many.

...Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they may obtain a better resurrection. Still others had trials of mocking and scourging, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword...afflicted, tormented...of whom the world was not worthy...Hebrew 11

Warnings to those who are willing to stand in the darkness with the light.

Pray for Project Truth warriors as next week we travel to Boise State, Southern Idaho College, and Merced College to finish off our Fall Tour.

God reminds us in Hebrews of the "great cloud of witnesses" who have gone before us, now cheering us on to live our faith out loud. As I read those passages, the Lord reminds me of the many times I came close to paying with my earthly life...like the gang member who told me he was going to "strap up" and come back to take me out. He did return with the gun sticking out of his belt...he must have lost his strap...only to walk past me into the abortion mill. God did not let him send me to Heaven that day, or the other times of close calls with knives, guns, and cars.

Many other sidewalk warriors have stories to tell of God's will, not man's. Yet when our time comes, either by martyrdom or old age, may each of us have the testimony of those like Charlie Kirk, focused on the Gospel as the centerpiece of our message.

I never met Charlie Kirk, even though our team missed him by a few days at some of the colleges we went to in the past.

But I know the One who Charlie got his passion from and I am motivated by the same Lord Jesus Christ for the ministry among the lost.

Thank you Lord for the inspiration you gave through Charlie Kirk's testimony. Please tell him I said hello, and look forward to some fellowship with him in the Great City.
