Lake Tahoe in July is the place to go "fishing" for the lost. There are over twenty-five thousand people who visit South Shore during the Celebrity Golf Tournament on just one weekend. The "fish" are jumping in the boat. Project Truth, along with the Galt Bible Church youth group, walk the busy Tahoe Blvd, in front of the casinos, outside the golf tournament, and on the corner of "Heavenly Village Way" (yes, that's the real

name), handing out our creatively designed tracts to thousands of visitors.

Above, Matt, Hannah, and Kim engage a couple who approached them in a testy mood. After a lengthy conversation, the woman was moved by the Gospel and confessed that it seemed God has been trying to get her attention. She took the book One Heartbeat Away, promising to read it.

But, what also makes this photo so meaningful is the dark-haired woman, Kim, standing next to Hannah behind the sign. Kim is a wonderful Christian woman that is very effective in sharing the Gospel.

On one of our college visits five years ago, a student was walking to class, when one of our team members handed her a Bible. She took it, having no idea what a Bible was, and having no Christian influence growing up. Over the next year she would pull out the Bible and read the Psalms. In time, the Lord drew her to the Cross and she, Kim, became a child of God.

But wait! There's more.

Through God's leading Kim met Hannah and they became great friends after Hannah told her that it was Project Truth who was on her campus that day.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

Above, I placed my prominent sign at the stoplight so the thousands of idling drivers had plenty of time to read and consider the message.

Below, Matt, in his Project Truth official hat, met this wonderful couple from the country of Texas. As the couple approached him, the man raised his hands and said, "Praise the Lord! There are Christians in California standing in the gap." They proceeded to encourage us in front of the crowds walking by.

The woman then asked if she could share her testimony with us.

She told us that as a young woman, she was worldly and got pregnant. Abortion was offered to her and she resisted enough to give birth to her first child. Over the next few years that little ball of life changed her dark heart and she became a follower of Jesus Christ. Then, for seventeen years she worked with a Pregnancy Resource Center.

That Texas couple gave us a boost of holy strength to carry us through the weekend.

So later, when this troubled woman (below) put her finger in Addie's face, as Addie's new husband Ethan watched the irritated woman proclaim, "I'm a better Christian than you people," it had no negative impact on their resolve to "stand in the gap."

The beautiful photo of Lake Tahoe on one side and the clear Gospel on the back is a keeper tract that the Galt teens love to hand out. There are also opportunities to present the Gospel in conversations. This is a good training ground for the youth. Thank you to the Roper family youth pastors for discipling the young warriors.

Some of you know Bud and Martha Reeves. They have been part of our Project Truth ministry after starting an outreach called Soulnet decades ago.

Martha recently walked though the Gates of Heaven after a lifetime of service to the King.

Even when she was struggling for a time, Bud would bring her out with him to a few colleges, where she would sit on a bench until a college student sat next to her and carried on a Christ-centered dialogue.

They both spent some time in jail, during the Operation Rescue days, rescuing babies from the abortion centers.

I am richly blessed to have been a fellow laborer with Bud and Martha.
