The Pen is mightier than the sword…

And to strike the loud earth breathless!

My cell phone rings with another spam call...or was it? For some reason, I answered it and the caller says, "Are you Don?"
"Yes, I am."
" A year ago you challenged me and my wife as we were going into the Planned Parenthood to have an abortion. When the receptionist asked me if I was ready to pay, my conscience said NO, and we walked out. You gave me your phone number and I am calling you to thank you for saving my little girl, who is three months old now. Thank you, Don, for you and your friends standing outside that place and changing our minds."
I will soon be having lunch with this man and his family, holding a precious life, saved from the American Holocaust and introducing his family to the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Defend the poor and the fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and the needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked."
Psalm 82:3-4

Our Project Truth team ventured onto the Cal Poly campus and had a GREAT time with the students. The Campus Police were professional, stopping a handful of troublemakers from disrupting our outreach.
Students were surprised we would dare challenge their elite echo chamber, and they loved engaging us.

Above, Scotty, one of our warriors from Fresno, was quickly confronted by a group of women thinking their weak notions could stand up to logical Biblical truth. Scotty lovingly met their ideas with logic and reason.
There were thousands of brainiacs coming from all over the beautiful campus, as many wanted to talk to the Project Truth team. We spent two days in the middle of their campus.
| | Jarod, another Fresno warrior, looked like he was "teaching class." The college boasts of having the smartest students, but we didn't find them able to give logical arguments for the pro-abortion view. Some students thanked us for making them rethink their ideas. | | | | Bernard is back handing out hundreds of Gospel tracts and effectively presenting the Gospel. | | | | This odd lady with the Pastor word on her shirt, tried to get the police to remove us from the campus. She told the officer that she was triggered by our display, but the officer told her to leave if she didn't like us. She left, grumbling to herself. | | On to Cuesta College near Morro Bay | | Cuesta is another college that has lost many students, but the students still there are from all walks of life. Below is an interesting person who didn't know what to do after the administration told her to stop threatening our team. Below, she decided to worship the sun and stood there glaring at the sun, while listening to our presentation of the Gospel and the evil of abortion. After a while, she "blindly" walked away. However, she learned about the "Son" that day. | | Below, we spent a day on the John Hancock College campus in Santa Maria. Not many students, but the ones we spoke with listened to the truth. | | |
This confused student was irritated when I asked him why he was holding that sign.
He attempted to say that I should not have a say about abortion if I don't have a uterus.
You know it's coming...
So, I asked, "I am sure you do not have a uterus, so why are you speaking out about abortion?"
He walked away rather than try to understand.
| | |
We continue to run into this popular sign.
You know it is coming...
"So I have two questions for you. Why are you telling men what to do with their bodies? And why not suggest to women to have their tubes tied? It just seems like a really hypocritical poster you are holding."
This student did hang around throughout the day and listened to our reasoning.

When Project Truth visits the Central Coast, we are met by some FANTASTIC Christ-followers, who make sure we are loved and appreciated for our ministry among their neighbors. John and his church in Santa Maria, Calvary Chapel, hosted us to a great dinner and blessed us with love and attention. John and his wife, Grace, have been leaders in the pro-life efforts of Santa Maria for twenty-five years.
Another WONDERFUL couple, Steve and Michele, always treat our team with love and appreciation at their beautiful backyard patio. They have also encouraged us for over twenty-five years.
The Apostle Paul tells us of the Philippian believers who participated in his ministry by their hospitality and encouragement. He thanked them, expressing that their help was "a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God...not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account."
We, at Project Truth, experience what Paul expresses in the letter to the Philippians. That's cool.
| | While in Santa Maria, our timing was good for the grand reopening of Planned Parenthood's new building. | | Pray for the pro-lifers in this town. It is a great setup for saving babies. The PP staff called the police immediately and found out that Project Truth does not flinch. The police were great and educated the abortion peddlers about free speech. | | | A Great Warrior is Expanding Project Truth into New York | | |
Six years ago, Pastor James Cook ventured out to the Walnut Creek Planned Parenthood abortion mill and we became instant friends. James was so moved by what he saw. From then on, James would join us, quickly adding the college outreach to his routine. Two months ago, Pastor James resigned his church, and stepped out by faith to "franchise" Project Truth in Buffalo, New York.
Together, we watched God put His fingerprints all over the decision to move his family across the country where the "harvest is plenteous." One college in his town has 32,000 students. Now that is a fishing hole.
James, and his family have been an integral part of our team and we will miss them. His ministry will be called Behold the Glory.
