About the Show

BE A PART OF THE ARTISAN BAKERY MOVEMENT
Artisan Bakery Expo East (Previously Atlantic Bakery Expo) , October 16 – 17, 2022, is the only event in the Eastern United States focusing on the specific needs of the retail-artisan bakery community. Every year, ABEE will provide the opportunity to network with thousands of your peers. You’ll learn the latest baking techniques and business practices as presented by some of the most successful bakers in the region. Hundreds of the best artisan bakery suppliers in the country will be on-hand so you can taste and experience the latest cost-savings and profit-generating ingredients, supplies, services and equipment available in the market today.

Artisan bakers will have the added benefit of attending Pizza & Pasta Northeast, a similar event developed for the region’s pizzerias and Italian restaurants. Those bakeries curious or actively looking to expand their business will find everything necessary to research the feasibility of entering the pizzeria business. Focused seminars, demonstrations and competitions, along with hundreds more exhibitors will all be available on the same show floor providing the unique chance to visit two closely related trade shows for the price of one.

Come to Artisan Bakery Expo East for two days to share your passion for the business. This event is designed for you, the artisan baker, offering fresh, un-packaged products sold through specialty retail bakeries, in-store bakeries, bakery cafés and other food service operations.

Cake Decorating Extravaganza
Creativity will take center stage at Artisan Bakery Expo East when up to 125 elite professional and amateur/student cake decorators go head-to-head to see who has the most artistry, skill, and imagination during one of the world’s most prestigious annual cake competitions.
 
This year’s Cake Decorating Extravaganza will feature 3 categories:
Tiered Wedding Cakes
Novelty/Specialty Cakes
Sculptured Cakes
Each cake will be judged independently by a team of expert judges. The judging will take place on Sunday, Oct. 16 from 2-5 p.m. All cakes will be judged on appearance, with points being awarded for neatness, originality, creativity, colors, and degree of difficulty.
 
Winner Prize per Category:
Professional Category will receive $500 and a recognition plaque.
Amateur/Student Category will receive $300 and a recognition plaque. Second and third place will receive $100 and $50, respectively.
