A Note from Grace Belkin

Hey there…

From Membership Committee to Liaison Committee Chair, my role at Beth El has changed. And since we have not had a Liaison Committee in a number of years, Leadership has reactivated this Committee. After reading our “Policies and Procedures Manual”, I thought it best to reference directly from the manual what this Committee’s responsibility is:

…to provide a voice for the Congregation to the Board to address any issues and opportunities that will provide greater transparencies between the Board and the Congregation.

So there you have it. As my role has changed, please know that “we” are here for you. If you have any questions, concerns, opportunities, or suggestions, “we” are here for you. Notice the “we” in the above?

The selection of the other members to participate in this committee have been thoughtfully

considered and exemplify the highest of standards.

We do hope that you will give us the opportunity to be of service.

Take care, stay safe.

Mussar Course at Beth El

Tuesdays, September 5 - October 10, 3-4 pm

Mussar is a Jewish practice of self-realization and character refinement.  We all embody qualities that reflect aspects of Divinity. These qualities, known as character traits or middot (singular: middah), are within us all. Through the practice of working on these traits and bringing them into balance, we can manifest more holiness in the world.

Learn steps to be more patient, less judgmental, and more loving to yourself and others.
