NC Craft Brewers Conference 2019
The NC Craft Brewers Conference 2019 will take place on November 5-7, 2019 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Whether you are looking to expand your knowledge base or purchase a new fermenter, don't miss this year's NCCBC!

Bringing together craft brewing professionals from across the Southeast, the 6th annual NC Craft Brewers Conference (NCCBC) + Trade Expo will take place at the Benton Convention Center, located in downtown Winston-Salem, NC for three days of learning, networking, socializing, and shopping.

Upper Coastal Plain Council of Governments Annual Banquet
The Upper Coastal Plain Council of Governments is having their annual banquet on November 19th at the Rocky Mount Event Center with the reception starting at 6pm.

Featured speakers include Norris Tolson, CEO, Carolinas Gateway Partnership, Peter Hans, President, NC Community College System and NC Commerce Secretary Tony Copeland. There will also be an Employer panel that will provide an overview of the advantages of the Regional Advanced Manufacturing Pipeline (RAMP East). Please join us for a fun and informative evening. The banquet is co-sponsored by the Turning Point Workforce Development Board and the Upper Coastal Plain Council of Governments.

Barley and Burger, located in Rocky Mount, NC, serves a specialty of gourmet chef-driven burgers and local craft beer. Owners of the restaurant include Travis and Kristi Ellis, Brandon Clarke, and Etaf Rum who all want to support and grow the local Rocky Mount community.

CCX Construction
Properties Exhibit Map of the CSX Carolina Connector (CCX) in Rocky Mount, NC
We are excited that the construction of the CSX Carolina Connector (CCX) is well underway here in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.The Carolina Connector terminal will feature three wide-span, zero
emission electric cranes with an annual lift capacity of 100,000 containers.

Babington Technology
Babington Technology, LLC secured a $200,000 grant that will support the renovation of an already occupied 125,000 square-foot bulding. Babington Technology is a defense contractor of mission-critical disaster relief sustainment field kitchens and a manufacturer of commercial food service equipment.

The company plans to create 20 jobs and invest $505,788 in the project.

Frozen Food Express Industries
Frozen Food Express Industries, Inc. (FFE) secured a $500,000 grant that will support the reuse of a 174,968 square-foot building where they plan to located a new service center. FFE is a refrigerated trucking company that provides full-truckload, less-than-truckload, and distribution transportation of products throughout North America.

The company plans to create 96 jobs and invest $4.7 million in the project.

Tarboro Commerce Center Shell Building
We are thrilled at the volume of companies interested in the Tarboro Commerce Shell Building being built in the Tarboro Commerce Center.

The Tarboro Commerce Shell Building is located along HWY 64 (future I-87) at the Tarboro Commerce Center, which also houses Keihin and Piedmont Natural Gas. Edgecombe Community College is in close proximity to the Tarboro Commerce Center that can provide your company a Customized Training Program to meet your workforce needs.

RAMP EAST - Regional Advanced Manufacturing Pipeline for Eastern NC
RAMP East, Regional Advanced Manufacturing Pipeline for Eastern NC, is a regional workforce development partnership designed to connect job seekers to the necessary training and resources to be ready for the current jobs available in the region and the new jobs that will coming in the next 18 to 24 months.

This regional partnership is made up of economic development organizations, workforce development boards, community colleges, state and local government agencies, and community-base organizations. Stay tuned for more information!
