During the last few months, six of our most experienced advocates brainstormed with office staff to develop a new, supportive program called Advocate Mentoring (AM). This was in response to the stress of the pandemic and impact of working remotely coupled with our recent staff transitions.
How do you break a pandemic? By finding a purpose—something that makes things better in spite of this dastardly disease. I found that in CASA. Honestly, I was ready to give up.
CASA was featured in The New York Times "Holiday Gift Guide"! Since 2009, Nicholas Kristoff has made recommendations to help raise the profiles of organizations that work on issues that change their communities. Kristof’s annual “Holiday Gift Guide” has become well known for bridging a philanthropic gap between readers who wanted to help but did not know how, and heroic individuals and organizations who desperately needed resources but did not have the national level of awareness.
We are so grateful that our Advocates often take additional cases. Because of this, our retention rates are some of the highest in New Jersey. We want to thank you and celebrate your incredible commitment and brilliant work on behalf of Bergen County’s abused and neglected children.
Jay Shetty, social media superstar and host of the #1 podcast On Purpose, distills the timeless wisdom he learned as a monk into practical steps anyone can take every day to live a less anxious, more meaningful life.
The Book Club will meet on Friday, April 2nd at 11:00 AM over the following Zoom link:
