I hope the 2022 Thanksgiving holiday was very special for you and your family! Hopefully you had the perfect family time and that the day exceeded all expectations.



We all know that the last few years have been challenging for everyone. Between issues such as COVID, inflation and now the possibility of a recession, all families have had to look for personal and financial solutions. 

Even though life has had many twists and turns, WV Central continues to work very hard in identifying ways to help our members, our communities and to improve the financial well-being of all.


I like the following thought which I think is especially relevant at Thanksgiving - “Each day I am thankful for nights that turned into mornings, friends that turned into family, and dreams that turned into reality.”


I am beyond thankful for my family, my personal friends and everyone that I have met as part of my credit union experience all of which I now call friends. For this I count my blessings and am thankful!


As we finish out 2022 and enter the New Year, please allow your friends at WV Central FCU to work with you to find financial solutions that will improve your financial well-being.

One last point to share, WV Central now has six team members that have received the CUNA Financial Counseling Certification.

Election of the 2023 Board of Directors


The nominating committee of West Virginia Central FCU has identified Vicki Thorpe, Ken Watts and Randy Cole to serve three year terms as volunteers on the board of directors.


The election will be held at our March 4, 2023 annual meeting as part of our business session. No nominations will be taken from the floor.


If you are a member in good standing and would like to be considered for a board position, you may do so by collecting signatures supporting your nomination. To be considered, you must collect at least 1% of the membership, which would require 218 signatures of current members of WV Central. If interested, please obtain the 218 member signatures and mail to:

We are pleased to announce the launch of our redesigned website. The new site features an updated, modern design and intuitive, easy-to-use menu. We built our new website with our members in mind. The site is mobile-friendly! You can apply for a loan, make payments, schedule appointments and browse our services, all from your smartphone, tablet, or computer.


Our website serves as a way for our members and potential members to research our financial products and services, loan rates, or view the latest in WV Central news and events.


The site features a convenient login on the homepage that provides access to the same secure online banking you are accustomed to while adding website features such as make a loan payment and the member claims portal. We encourage you to explore the new site and let us know your thoughts. We will continually search for ways to deliver you the best member experience.
